“ coach’s son” “hard worker” “scrappy” for some programs these words might be used to describe some obese, unathletic walk on with a number like 99. For Bruce’s HYGs it’s just another dazzling youngster with game and beauty for days.

a sizzling southpaw built like an Adonis Bruce mentioned if it weren’t for Okoro he’d be talking a lot more about Allen’s chiseled, SEC ready physique. At one point dismissed as a throw away pickup for down the road I’m expecting real mins in the backup 3 role this season.

With Devan Cambridge out for a month or so, then young Flanigan definitely has a chance to cement himself as a contributor at the back up 3 spot. Will be interesting to see how the rotation goes and to see if Samir slides over there sometimes as well.

Career highlights: A two-time All-SEC selection, Wes Flanigan is second on the all-time Auburn assists list and led the SEC in assists in his junior season. His 64 steals in 1995-96 rank fourth on the single-season list. After undergoing successful surgery to remove a tumor on his arm, the pass-first guard returned for his senior season and averaged 11 points, 4.5 assists and 1.3 steals.
