Just trying to take a very casual look ahead but I see a lot to be excited about.

Qb: Stidham
RB: either KJ, KP, or Devan Barrett
HB: Cox
WR: NCM
WR: Darius Slayton
WR: Ryan Davis
OT: Tega
OG: Harrell
OG: Horton
OT: Cal Ashley
Center:??? Thinking transfer or Brohms

Defense
DE: Marlon
DT: Brown
DT: would love D Russ but thinking Truesdale
DE: Moultry or Coe
LB: D Williams
LB: D Davis
Nickle: J Dinson
CB: J Davis
CB: J Dean
SS: (shocker) Mon Atkinson
FS: J Peters

Championship caliber lineup gang for whoever takes over. I know yesterday was hard, but THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT

Wouldn’t shock me if he moved to SS. Guess that’s my bold prediction for the season. He’s faster and a bigger hitter that TM28. Kids a player and I think they find a spot for him on the field

Future is bright if someone else is the head coach. Gus will find a way to f it up no matter the depth chart.

BTW, there's no need for a depth chart for RB with Gus.

I also think Dequan Newkirk has a really strong opportunity to be a starter on the DL even if D Russ stays. Just saying, this DL is gonna be super filthy even if Holland and Russell leave.
 
Yeah even year sched doesn’t set up well for us. I mean it’s a legit roster again but Gus. I give the home crowd a ton of cred for the 2 big wins.

It’s still gonna be a very good roster in 2019 too though. Just depends if Malick or Gatewood are up for it.

You don’t know any of that and secondly you think KJ is just avg. so it doesn’t matter.

I think at least one of those guys will be back and I don’t think Don Russ leaving is a big deal. You’re kind of tiresome with your hyperbole dumbassery.

4 losses come January. Same as I said the ceiling was for this team. Glad your boy is making progress.

Yeah it’s fine. I’m just not sure there’s a Carlton, Marlon, Holland, Brown, KJ, etc. Same could be said if it was littered with 5*s I guess but I’d like the chances better.

I think Moultry will be more than a replacement for Holland. Asa Martin is a stud. We’ll see about a brown replacement but the two DTs they have are total studs. We’ll see. It’s all guess work. This time a few years ago we all thought B Cowart was gonna save us all

Honestly, give us a 9-3 regular season and a bowl win and at least lets start stringing together some 10 win seasons. Only 4 teams in all of FBS have won 9 games a years for the last 5. Only 11 teams have won 8 games a year for the last 5 years. I'd like to see AU get into that 9 win every season territory. You can build from that and I'm over the rollercoaster.

What I want to see AU do is step up and be better than everyone in the West not named Saban year in and year out. We'll get him a few times if we're there. Be the team every year they have to get through to get to ATL. Not this thing where we gift them the division 3 out of 5 years before we even play them. If we're there we're in position to make runs, to win big games and play for titles. I'm over the roller coaster where I know 3 years are lost before we have our one revival season.

less worried about the individuals on the OL, more worried about jelling. Tega flashed enough this year and he's got good experience now. He'll improve. Ashely has all the tools and being able to start out at RT will help him out IMO. But again, Gus can't have it take a month for them to figure out what our best blocking group and schemes are.

S is a personnel problem. I have no idea who plays either spot and Daniel Thomas was so bad that when we put him in other teams scored and so we'd take him out for the rest of the game. He's not an option at all to me.

I'm thinking 9-3, 8-4 most realistically. We lose blowouts to Washington, bammer and UGA, probably drop one to LSU or TAMU.

It is what it is. Next year won't be our year.

If I am chip Lindsay, I am doing my best to GTFO while my stock is somewhat high.

Boobie Whitlow is going to have a legit shot to play RB next season. The staff was extremely high on him during the fall camp until he got hurt. I hope he gets to play during the bowl game, since redshirts can now play without it affecting their redshirt status.

that's an interesting new rule. Hopefully we get to see a lot of the redshirt guys. I'd like to see Askew and Jackson on defense.

We desperately need one of our early enrollees to be a stud or maybe someone like Askew to step up in the secondary. We should have paid that Savion kid whatever to come step in at corner.

Anyone know if there’s any noise about moving Harrell or Horton to Center? Everything I hear about Hamm is that it’s gonna be really hard to keep him off the field

What I heard was that they are going to give Horton a look at Center in the Spring.

Edit: Heard from tbb and no recollection if it was anyone we should listen to or not.
