Hardest poll yet. Feel like you can make an argument for about 5 different dudes in the top spots then it works itself out
I had a different #5 than the composed poll, and had #1 & #2 flipped, but otherwise it matched up pretty well. The HUGE thing I like is BRUCE'S take that for the first time ever, he can run with three 5 man squads.

I think there’s a solid top 6 that could go in any order... then there’s a tier of the Y’est of our HYG’s that is tough to predict and could go a number of different directions as well
the 2 main questions are:
- how many of the backup minutes does Jaylin get at the 4? Mac will take a chunk, Cambridge could as well, and with Stretch on campus and looking like he can contribute immediately Jaylin won’t be needed as an emergency 5, so how much time does he see this year? he’s going to be huge for us next year, but this year could be “disappointing” for people expecting him to put up numbers right away
- who gets backup minutes on the wing? Turbo can play either guard spot, Samir can play backup 3, will Flanigan play the 2 the 3 or both, and where does Jamal fit in? right now I’m leaning Turbo gets the backup point guard minutes and some run at the 2, Samir gets some run as the backup 3 behind Okoro, Flanigan is ahead of Jamal in the pecking order as the 3rd guy at both spots, but Jamal gets a few minutes a night as a backup 2... but that could be way off... if Jamal is good and Cambridge can play the 3 then there’s no need to put extra mileage on Samir giving him minutes as the backup 3, but Samir is a safe bet - Jamal and Cambridge are total wildcards to me
as far as the official ranking, I guess my conflict is, do I want to look at this from a numbers perspective, or an impact perspective? I’m going to go with impact...

With so much quality it’s my tool for sorting groups of otherwise indistinguishable excellence in so many areas.
You got your 6 known quantities in the 5 Srs and Okoro. I had Okoro #1 simply because his HYG level is on another planet. Gave Jvon some consideration. Then there’s Danjel and Austin with the pedigree and All SEC potential. Of course young Einstein Ant who I had ahead of Austin. Sammy. The greatest collection of new HYGs ever assembled in Boogville. Even the walkons are striking beauties with insane athleticism.
Interesting that, as of right now, Akingbola is the highest rated true frosh in the poll outside of Okoro, of course. I'm curious to see how much game time he gets just because I think his rim protection is gonna be just too good to keep of the court. Plus we know Austin loves to get a little handsy and get himself into foul trouble so I could see Tunde getting 5-10 minutes a game

Damn the child spends a few months in Boogville consuming all the chicken fingers he desires and now look at him. That’s game changing size. Hoping Jaylin has a few inches of puberty left in him would love to see him at a solid 6’9.

Gravity is weaker in the US than Africa. So we expected Stretch to, well, stretch.
hopefully it’s the wall where the rinky dink servers of that clown show site are plugged in and it burns down the entire building and they have to rebuild from scratch and just plain do better
