Wow. Another heart stopping over time victory, but time to forget it for now and move on to the next game. A trip to Mizzou is on the itinerary now. And unfortunately, Sir Isaac won't be punching his ticket for the flight. So how are the Boogs gonna cope with the most handsome and athletic stud of them all???? Will certainly be interesting. Obviously Flanny and D Cam will log some heavy minutes. Who gets the start? I'm not sure. I'm guessing young Al since D Cam is kind of a hype man off hte bench. But it's Bruce's world and it's his decision. So we'll see. Hoping Sweet Danjel is back fully healthy. Pump him with fluids and whisper sweet nothings into his ears to build his confidence and maybe he can register a double double. Anyway, no idea what Mizzou brings to the table other than some shitty coach and a team riddled with back acne. But the espn nerds have us a heavy fave so legggggggggggggggooooooooooooooooooooooo

They have a 7ft chaulkie. Doesn’t look too imposing Austin should be able to handle him. A couple guys at 6’10. No one with the baucyness Of Austin though so he should have no problem cleaning up the boards.

Mizzou buddy says Tilmon almost certainly out. They've started calling his stress fracture week to week and he's got a potential NBA career so he isn't playing through that kind of injury. I think Marc Smith plays. Cuonzo essentially called him out for not playing in the LSU game in a subtle way. Andy Kennedy made a comment on air that angered some Mizzou fans but the smart ones think that was straight from Martin and intentional. Martin said he would play, then game time decision said no and said "he didn't see it in his eyes". That's pretty obvious IMO.

The other Smith kid that played on a bad ankle looked really good but he's a lot like J'Von to me in that he can look good but its 1 game out of 5. In fact they have like 3/4 of those guys that will look All SEC caliber in one game and then score 4 and do nothing of note for the next 6 games. Pinson went off against Arky but has too many games where he scores 5 and gets 2 assists and isn't a factor. That's pretty much the entire Mizzou issue. Unless 2 or 3 of them have the good nights that they rarely have you get a comfortable W

The chalky C is a perfect matchup for Wiley. Doesn't shoot 3's at all and gets in foul trouble easily. Believe he's fouled out of like 3 or 4 in a row. They run out of size after that but also I'm not sure we can play Wiley when Chalkie isn't on the floor.

If Okoro wasn't out I would agree that it might be time to start Cambridge at the 3, and Okoro at the 4 but I'm not sure DC needs to have more thrust on his plate. Looks like he is just now starting to get comfortable with his role at the 3. I may be overestimating how difficult it is to learn a new position with Bruce.

I generally hate the Mac at the 4 lineup too. That said, Mizzou doesn't seem to have the kind of 4's that will blow by him in man and he and Wiley might feast on the glass. This might be one of the weird matches it works in.

If #12 for them is close to 100% we gotta be all over him and we need to be careful on the other end. He may be up there with Hagans in terms of quick hands and going for steals. If he's limited by that bad ankle it helps us on both ends.

And they’re one of the worst teams in the country at committing fouls (318th). Those aren’t good numbers against us.

They do shoot FTs well so we need to defend without fouling. And they make the 4th most 3s per game with the 5th most attempts in the conference. Pinsky and Dru Smith are the kinds of guards who have given us problems this year, but the surrounding cast just isn’t great caliber.

Bottle up Pinson and DSmith, crush the boards, and get to the rim on dribble penetration, and tomorrow should be a good day for us.

again I'd really like to see us use a philosophy where the one thing we are willing to give a team is the off the bounce 3. We're sagging too much off shooters to help with penetration often because we're too tight on a guard who initiated his dribble and is 25 ft out.

The biggest thing that tells me is he’s getting some reps in practice at that position. So if we needed to go with a lineup like Samir/Devan/Flanigan/Purifoy/Mac, he would understand and know his positioning in plays.
