Not much to see here gang. Except a dazzling group of youngsters abusing a hapless opponent inside the Clam. Boogs by 30.

lulz...hulksters take this one by a sum greater than 5

I fully expect to boog all over them, BUT the conference really is a lot better so we need to stay hungry. Hopefully our boys aren't as over-confident as we are here on the Greg.

I am so sad that I won't get the opportunity to panic this weekend.

Should be a blood bath. Conflicted though on whether I’ll be rooting for Bama to take down UF or not. On one hand it’d give us (presumably) a three game lead in the conference, and on the other hand it’d really help those assholes’ chances of making it to the Tourney

We haven't beaten them in 13 tries. January 2007 was our last win against them. We better be motivated.

Vandy is similar to us in style. Lots of 3s, not a lot of size, somewhat up tempo. Baptise and Obinna are their big men who would be the biggest match-up issues because of their height, but that hasn't seemed to affect us as much as I thought it would against some other teams. They're no bigger or more physical than LSU or Mizzou, and we dealt with their size well. They do seem to be playing better with Matthew Fisher-Davis, which is a bit of a surprise. LaChance and Lee are quick little fvckers. LaChance and Roberson are their 3-point shooters, and both are 40%+ shooters.

On paper, we match up well with them other than the height inside. They don't rebound well, they don't produce steals or turnovers much, and they're the second worst FG% defense in the conference (allowing almost 47% from the floor). I expect our backcourt to handle their guards well, and as long as we shoot decently well, we should control the game.

Vandy has been tough on the road. I expect to win, but it wouldn't surprise me for this game to be close at the half.
I don't expect them to get off the mat after that L at UK. I didn't see much of that game but I did see some of TCU and they just look raggedy and terrible. I mean it's one thing to go into Rupp and play well but it's a whole different level coming into the CLAM.

If you look at the TCU game's box score, it doesn't make a lot of sense how TCU lost. TCU had more baskets made, killed them on the boards, had 18 assists on 35 makes, only 12 turnovers, and still lost by 3. TCU didn't shoot a FT in that game, which is an incredible stat to me, and Vandy was 8-9 from the FT line, which was most likely the difference. Vandy won't keep us off the FT line.

They aren't nearly athletic enough to guard us or break down the D. Their big is a lumbering oaf that can't score or defend more than a foot from the basket. Roberson is ok. Like a poor man's Staph. Lachance is kinda crafty and a good shooter but I don't expect him to get loose much against our guards. Should be a pummeling.

They are playing much better. Last 4 games

W home over LSU
Close L on the road @ UT
W home over a good TCU
L @ UK where they completely outplayed the Wildcats

Teams playing good ball. I do feel like there are due for an off night on the road though. Hard to shoot well and play with few mistakes on the road over and over. We'll need to be better than we were Saturday IMO. They may not be better than Ole Miss but they are playing better at the moment.

after what seems like 100 straight years of going to their ancient, boobytrapped gym and getting the absolute shit beat out of us to start the game in a 20 point hole 6 minutes in - I’m praying to the basketball zods old and new to return the favor

this game shouldn’t be close... and we missed a ton of shots short against Ole Miss - even free throws... that extra day of rest should help, or that’s my hope at least... we will win, but I want an absolute bloodletting

Vandy 0-6 on the road. Boogs roll.

I feel this could be a huge night for Sweet young innocent Jared. If their game is not to foul a lot then he will slash to the basket early and often.

The slams from Mustapha and Dunbar will rain down like sweat to my headboard on a Valentine night.

88-74 Boogs.
