I am a poor, but still looking to take the lady friend somewhere relatively nice that won’t cost a kidney. I’ve been looking at Seasons 52, Daniel George in Mountain Brook, and J. Alexander’s.

Also open to any other suggestions.

Lasagna bolognese is my go to there. They also have some pretty good bruschetta- we either do the steak one or the sampler.
I saw a lot of posts about the sampler. May have to try that out.
They have the GOAT cheesecake
cheesecake is the way to my heart. Seems to get ragged on by snobs like my brother, but my fiancé and I love Cheesecake Factory..

The Mrs. got a bite of ceramic the last time we got cheesecake there. The guy didn’t believe her. She takes out her napkin and dropped a dime size chunk of broken plate on the table. The guys mouth dropped and he told his manager. The manager offered another piece of cheesecake but we got zero items comped even the cheesecake.

@Ser Sweater Vest can’t say I have ever had anything bad there. I mean when it didn’t a have chunk of plate in it.

I think I just finished the most absurd 4 nights of eating I've ever experienced and right now it's making all these B'ham places that I'd also recommend sound like versions of Jack's and Hardee's. I love half the places mentioned and yet right now they all sound like a big bowl of meh

The best way to do Vegas for work is when the new money executives are all in town and want to pay for absurd dinners every night to prove how rich they are. Also great when one of them gets hammered and starts dry humping tables at Cut to show everyone how his previous night went.
