Why don't more D2 coaches get opportunities in the FBS?

Maybe they don't have agents to get their names out there, but you rarely if ever hear about any of these guys even get mentioned for decent gigs.

Maybe they don't have agents to get their names out there, but you rarely if ever hear about any of these guys even get mentioned for decent gigs.

And yet somehow the SEC West had an influx of HS coaches with Freeze and Gustav... seems like you would see more opportunities for coaches like Coach Houston. It has to be an exposure/agent thing.
