OT: Dawgs247 y'all

Hmmm, in some circles this might be considered LBS angst.

There are varying strains of LBS.

I think UGA has the one that is most hilarious to me now. They are afraid to talk trash or hate on bama. A significant part of their fanbase just walks around talking about how much they admire them. They look up to them like most little brothers look up to big bro. They mimic them, they want to do the same things they do and they want approval from them as in their dreams they are welcomed into the blue blood society by their crimson brethren. They've practically bangwagoned with bama for the AU hate, which for a long time was dormant in that fanbase as it was a more friendly rivalry.

Meanwhile bama barely remembers they exist for the most part. They barely ever play them, when they do they own them and crush their dreams.

For me, this is the saddest of all LBS's. And it won't stop anytime soon.

Auburn is literally the only team in our league that doesn’t puss out with regards to Bama.

I mean, we literally kicked the shit out of them this year. Just unfortunate we combined the toughest schedule in CFB history with the derpage of a Gus Malzahn this year.

This Auburn team with Lane Kiffin as OC, controlling play-calling and offensive personnel, is 15-0 and one of the GOAT SEC teams.

Only 7 more years bruh

Other than coaching, talent, location, and municipality you're kind of correct.
yeah things like championships, fans, other sports, etc. Not to mention Kirby is relatively unproven, same as gus in 13. Are you a secret uga fan or something? They really don't have anything on Auburn. I've been to athens plenty of times and their bars are fun, but other than that Athens sucks, I'd way rather go to Auburn.

If anything its ugag that have LBS worse than anyone and its for sure with bammer and auburn. It kills them knowing we are a better program.

I hate uga more than anyone. I had the unfortunate privilege of living the first 18 years of my life in Athens. Their fans are the worst of the worst and I hate everything about that university.

That being said, if it's not a football Saturday, Athens is a much better all around city than Auburn. There is just so much more to do. I don't know how anyone could live in Auburn if they weren't an Auburn fan, because there really isn't too much other entertainment. Athens has more than enough to keep folks interested even if they hate the shitty school that happens to be there. I understand hating uga and hating Athens when you go there on a gameday, but on a regular day with nothing going on Athens is a pretty fun place.

I'd much rather go to college at AUBURN, and chose to do so even though I could've gone to UGA for free with the Hope Scholarship, but if your talking about some outsider that doesn't know a damn thing about either city going there to visit, Athens is gonna be the one that gets the most like I'd imagine.

yeah for sure, if you're moving there just for like non university related reasons I agree, but then, that's not the point of Auburn at all. If you're not somehow involved with the school or maybe sending your kids to the amazing highschools around here or whatever then there is 0 reason to live in Auburn. That being said, as a student, alum, etc. AU has TONS of shit going on and the cool thing is if you're alum or whatever people are very chill about letting you come to talks/speaking events, etc. Theres tons of alumni activity, and since I'm doing my second degree here there is actually a decent community of slightly older folks like myself as well (older as in late 20s early 30s).

All that to say, yeah you're right, but if you're moving to a town under those circumstances you would be way better of in ATL or really any other big city, otherwise you enjoy living the small town life and they are all the same, that lifestyle just is what you make it. Has very little to do with having a few extra bars or public events.

Auburn the town is ALL about the school. Same can't be said for ttown or athens.

And that is why heart Obbern so much. It's grown a ton since I've lived there, but it still has that down home small town feel. It was almost like freggin Mayberry back in the day. Of course me being from a small town, it was paradise.

It strikes a great balance and AU has always been there for me, as weird as that sounds, coming off some of the most painful experiences in my life I've come back twice right after and healed here. It's a long story but...really its meant so much to me.
