honest to god we are playing the best most balanced football I've ever seen AU play and that includes 2010 and 2013 when we did a few things better than anyone. This team is just balanced as ****. Strong at every position. Malzahn said that in the presser that this time it's different.

That being said, UGA has only lost to us and they played by far their worst game of the season in that game...

We are beat up and now we have to go to a neutral field and beat the team that would be ranked #1 AGAIN if it wasn't for us.

Temper your expectations. We've done enough this season to earn a playoff berth but unfortunately we have the hardest possible road and we have another huge test in front of us.

WDE.

Gonna be a tough task to beat them again especially given our recent injuries on O.
the only thing that's encouraging is that our D remains unchanged and our passing game is good enough to probably get us 2 TDs our D is good enough to hold them to 10 on a good day.

We have a chance but I'd favor UGA in this game.

If we dominate the LOS again, they'll make mistakes again and look like they "played their worst game" once again. To me, that's our path to a W if KJ can't play and our run game gets slowed down. Dominate their OL, shut the run down, harass Fromm. Though I do expect quite a few 50/50 balls tossed up because they don't have a ton of other options if Holland is lurking and we are pressing them.

I’m genuinely worried about this game. It’s just easy to imagine a let down game after what we’ve done the last three weeks. However, we normally play really well in ATL, so that makes me feel better. I also think our D can shut down anyone’s run game and Fromm doesn’t scare me that much.

I am booging hard until @Harvey Specter tells me otherwise.
I haven’t yet decided how bad we will beat them, but we are very clearly the better team. Our DL looked a little fatigued at the end of the game last night which is a bit of a concern, but we should shut them down. And our offense is better than their defense too

So tough to beat the same team twice in the same season. Although boogU has done it recently.

That seems to be a very overrated idea when it comes to college football. I'm too lazy to look it up but the vast majority of rematches had been won by the team that won the 1st time. I think this is a NFL thing, where so much of the game is won on the chalkboard with little changes and scheming and teams tend to be less motivated in regular season rematches too. You don't get rematches in CFB where the result isn't a HUGE deal. So effort and focus is almost never a problem where it is in the NFL sometimes just due to how the regular season works.

I fully agree with you that it isn't a given and expectations should be tempert. Folks say UGA played their worst game, but was it their worst or is AU just playing that good? Either way, I think we all know it isn't going to be a route like last time. But hopefully we'll pull it out. I'm cautiously optimistic at the moment even with KJ being injured. Considering where I have been most of the season (pessimistic as hayul) cautious optimism is damn near boog sunshine pumper territory for me. lol

It probably won't be a route, but if we jump on them early I'm not sure they get off the mat. You have your manhood taken by someone and when you get your next shot at them you better hit them in the mouth first. If we start that game owning the LOS both ways and jump out to a lead those pups may roll over and show us their bellies.

pretty much exactly the same here. NEVER in a million years did I expect us to LOSE to a bad LSU team and beat UGA and the sister****ers in one season, especially this one.

I still think this game being played in ATL helps AU, think the crowd will be neutral.

EDIT: or should it be plaid?

I'm gonna guess 60/40, but it won't really have a huge impact. Anyone that's been to the new stadium, does it get really loud? Can half the stadium make it difficult to communicate?

I think they'll have some answers for our offense, especially if Kerryon isn't himself. I think the game comes down to them having answers for our defense, which are much more difficult questions for them. Auburn dominated them at the LOS. They couldn't run the ball and when the dropped back to pass Fromm had no time and no space. They probably need to take more shots downfield, but you need time to do that. You could answer with short/quick passes but we play press everywhere and Fromm isn't going to Baker Mayfield you. If you max protect our safeties can help out and Fromm has worse windows to throw into.

Their OC has not had many games in his career where I'd say he out coached and out schemed the other side. I'm sure he'll have a few things that work early...maybe some kind of screens or trick plays. Maybe he'll try to backs shoulder us to death. But if AU picks up on it and can make the early adjustments he'd dead in the water. You can't scheme out of a dominant DL very easily.

A little worried that the d-line was so gassed in the 4th qt, could see UGA putting the ball into Fromm's hands similar to how Hurts was used to see if that will help open their running game some.

UF beat us twice in 2001.
We beat UT twice in 2004
We beat USCe twice in 2010.

The trend should continue.

The first thing they will have to do that they didn't do the first time is to attack us horizontally. This will open things up a little bit, but hopefully we can do like we did in the bama game and recover well. I also think they may try more 50/50 balls down the field. Their receivers don't get great separation (kind of like ours) but Wynn did a good job of going up and getting the ball a few times. Also, they didn't use their TE much, so I assume they will try to incorporate that into their O.

The only thing that would concern me in this game is the mentality of our team. We're better than UGA in ever facet of the game, except at RB, maybe. As long as our young teens don't going into this game thinking it's already over because of what happened last time, and I don't think they will, we will win this game. Probably not by as much, but boogs by 10 ($1 to @Harvey Specter).

Incorrect. Bama beat them both times.

The only team to not lose both games was LSU in 2001, when they beat UT in the SECCG.

Sorry. Don’t know why I was confused. Maybe one was a close win and the second game was a blow out?

Bama lost to LSU and Beat them for a mythical natty a few years back. Other than that I think winning twice is the norm.

We're going to have to live with them having some success horizontally and tackle well on the edges. We can't let their run game get going. Chubb, Michel, and Swift have to be the keys for us. Stop them and make Fromm beat us. Wims will have a few chances to make plays. We just need solid coverage and tip our caps if they make contested plays. If they plan to beat us throwing 50/50 balls all game, then let them run that offense. But we can't let their RBs beat us.

Wow, i'm still getting the "we didn't come to play" from a lot of the dawgz fans and they are even trying to say it about the tide. I told them 26-14 might not have been coming to play but 41-17 is getting that ass whooped.

I agree. I think this game comes completely down to whether we can score again. I just think those are their only options for things they can do differently.

We have the better offensive and defensive lines. The game is won up front. Auburn's running scheme allows good backs look great. It doesn't matter though, because Johnson will play.

Agreed, and TBH, I'm still in disbelief how good our OL has performed. It's the one facet of this team I've consistently underestimated throughout this run. I went into the season believing the OL would be a liability, then Clemson happened, then came the never-ending rash of injuries and I think it just calcified in my head there was no way this OL would amount to anything other than trash.

At this point it doesn't even seem to matter which five we send out there, or in what order, they just get the job done.

But to Opies point, hayull naw a win isn't a given. We matchup well with this UGA squad, but still it's the best team to come out of the East in many moons. Will take another A game to bring home the hardware. Hopefully we come out fast and get in their domes - otherwise we'll be in for the war of attrition most of us expected the first time around*.

*Excluding the Profit @Harvey Specter who divined the outcome a week prior to the game.

AL.com kills me...to read this article i would almost think bama won saturday.

Crepea really is the worst man. That guy has to be completely miserable to be around based on what I've seen of him.

Lol. I like to think Daniel can kick it out the EZ consistently in the dome. Also feel like the fast track of the dome favors us but I’ll keep my Boog in check as I have throughout this epic run.

I had to throttle back the Booging because I won't like the blowback if things don't go our way this weekend. If we win and there is no path for bama to make the playoffs I'm going to be an unrepentant Boog and I won't even care what happens in the playoffs. It won't dampen the Booging done for the next few weeks and extending into months all the way through the summer. You don't get many chances to win a SEC title by trouncing UGA, manballing a Nick Saban team and then reminding UGA you are their daddy again in the SECCG. We could lose the semifinal by 40 and while I'd be upset for a day, it would not deter me from reminding everyone in the SEC what we had done to get there.
