As she should. But honestly, AU is good about making things right (as best as they can) when it comes to this sort of stuff. When I started school in 2010, there was a girl in the ROTC that got hit by a transit bus. Her ROTC group was doing a formation run down Donahue. She was in the back and stepped out of line and cross the centerline as a bus was passing by. She took a rearview mirror straight to the face. She ended up having a few surgeries to repair her face. AU stepped up immediately, without lawsuits or anything, paid for all of her medical bills and will pay for anything she needs related to that accident, paid her compensation, and is allowing her to go to school for as many degrees as she chooses for the remainder of her life for free. I've heard of several other stories very similar to this. What happened on the tiger transit this past weekend is absolutely disgusting by its hard to find fault with AU. I work with a transit authority and I can tell you that transportation companies are some of the shadiest there are. Its so easy for them to falsify records and "background checks," especially after a lot of the FAST Act was implemented during the previous administration in Washington. There were lots of "catchalls" and "flags" that were removed from regulations that have opened up small loop holes to gaping wide loop holes. The Tiger Transit Director is someone I deal with regularly and I can assure you that they do their due diligence when it comes to their contracts. Part of that groundwork is required by the FHWA through my office for some of their federal funding. They don't take this lightly. But they don't have any authority to do any sort of audit or investigation to ensure that their contractors are abiding by any laws or regulations. (F paragraphs).not a lot to discuss. Two despicable human beings will go to jail, a young girls life will be majorly impacted along with her family, and she will go to school for free forever.
