Super psyched gents. God willing I’ll be playing golf at 4 of the great courses this world has to offer. As a bonus probably gonna not see our next two huthut contests whoever they maybe against.

Would have been great practice for the trip in mild tropical storm conditions but the shitass courses around here were closed and I watched the game. Sigh.

Enjoy bruh. Very well planned to get tf away from football and enjoy some golf for a couple weeks to pass the time until BRUCE and the boys return for some Toomers Corner streetball to kick off their run to the natty.

Greetings from the UK gents. Apparently the Greg is banned outside the US. Too real for other cultures I suppose. Fortunately I’m super tech savvy and downloaded a VPN. Will be checking in for updates on Bruce and the boys when I can.
you gonna bounce to Paris for a day and check out Tiger at the Ryder Cup?

Sigh. I am kicking myself for not making that happen because it’s Paris and the Mrs totally would have been down for it. The tix are really hard to get though and didn’t plan ahead enough. Probably won’t be able to even watch much of it.

I would think you’d need to buy tix waaaay in advance. Probably cost another “trip” either way.

So how much does a golfing trip to Scotland cost?
Oh I don’t know get some travel points and a credit card might not be that much. Old Course greens fees were ‘only’ like $225. Dollar pretty strong right now. $500/ day ball park I’d say. Pretty crazy how much some of these travel companies charge it’s fairly reasonable if you plan it out on your own.

So, how did the sticks treat you in Scotland? Need details.

The trip was phenomenal. Played 5 world class tracks. Old Course, Kingsbarns, Dornoch, Muirfield, North Berwick.

The game was not great but I did manage to break 80 at St Andrews and Kingsbarns. Some birds. Had an eagle on a driveable par 4 at Kingsbarns. 3 birdies on the front at Dornoch but also had like 4 doubles that round. Old course I camped out at 3:30am and a spot opened on the last tee time of the day at 3pm. Thought I had wasted the whole day and then it happened so that was pretty sweet.

Last day I played 36 at Muirfield and N Berwick. Wind was blowing a steady 40+. Managed to start with 3 pars at Muirfield and still shot probably 90. Was so hard.

Same thing at N Berwick was dead into the wind whole front 9. Thought oh 6100 yds this course gonna be a joke. First hole is like 310 hit hybrid-hybrid 30 yds short of the green. Coming back in down wind was more fun but then it’s like impossible to hold the green.

The courses and golf is just so fun and different. Want to play them all again.

Wow. Sounds amazing. Super jealous. Only played most of those on PlayStation back in the day.

Don’t feel bad about Muirfield. It has brought Tiger to his knees when the wind is howling. On the other hand, Phil did win there, so it can’t be that tough.

How did you do on the Road Hole?

Played it pretty much how I imagined I would. Tried to hug the hotel but there’s so much room left fanned it out there a little. Had 190 in everyone says play short but I’m trying to make birdie. Play a little punch cut wind just nudges it a hair left. Find the road hole bunker. It wasn’t really a hard shot from my lie and pin in the middle of the green. Only bunker I hit all day. Catch it a hair too clean and the sand was a little firm so I one hop it over the green onto the road. Putt it up there almost hit the pin. Miss the 10 footer take a double. Got everything I could out of that hole haha.

Regarding Muirfield I played with some buck that afternoon at North Berwick who’s dad must be like a Duke or something. He’s played everywhere said it’s the hardest course in the word and I’d agree. Wanted to get there an hour early get a range sesh in for the wind but there was a blockade on the highway from Edinburgh to Muirfield. Got there like 5 mins before my time so that kinda sucked.

They don’t allow women members there so no ladies tees. Got paired up with this like 60 yr old couple I mean they both must have shot a billion. Actually the ol gal probably beat her husband. The lips on their bunkers make the road hole bunker look like child’s play. Ol dude would get in there hack at it 3 times then throw the ball out lol.

Asked the caddy if they ever cut the rough he says it’s illegal can only cut it like once a year. I don’t know how a double digit cap could even play it but the 40mph winds it was insane. Still had some pretty good birdie looks especially 17 par 5 was down wind had a SW in on my 2nd but it goes barreling over the green don’t get it up and down.
