We aren’t beating bama. No way. Can’t believe I let myself get so carried away after thumping a mediocre squad with a freshman QB at our house just because some committee had them severely overrated.

Would feel better if bama had thumped MSU, but there’s no way it happens now that Saban has his squad’s full attention for the next two weeks. Oh well, still a better season than I expected so kudos to Gus...

Here's the thing. We do have the talent to win the game. Seriously. The only thing that has held this team back this year is Gus. If all the data we have is any indication then last week was an anomaly and Gus will Gus again. However, in Boogville strange things happen and I'm going to allow myself to believe it could happen. I will once again be shitfaced in the stands praying to the football gods that it is just punishment for AU to beat our two biggest rivals in a season with two asinine defeats.

Two blocked punts, BO back in training shape for over the stop type stuff, CAM running with his hand ova his mouth and a 109 yard kick return, and we GOT THIS. We win by 3
EDIT: boogs win by 3

In an official prediction thread on the Boog board I called 10-2 with two road losses. At that time, I didn't think even Gus could screw it all up. After Clemson and LSU I was 100% convinced I had underestimated his idiocy. Now I'm feeling like I get lucky this year....

I think we rush for 200 unless we somehow get down big early on and have to throw our way out

We are extrememly deep in our front 7 on defense.

Yes and no. Our first 4 are elite. We have one solid backup DT in Williams, but he isn't elite. Sliding Marlon down inside is still elite and I'm big on Coe. That being said, that's really only 6 bodies. Moultry is coming along well, but I'm not sure how much he can be relied on at this point. I do think he takes over for Holland next year though unless we move Coe back to Buck.

Rotnei and TWill will bring in the best hulking teens, but I'm terrified of the future in the secondary after TRob/BOOM's guise leave. Jordyn Peter's looks ok, but some of those other guise look like they belong at Vandy or Kentucky.
Peters is gonna be good. The departure of Marlon Character this offseason will show up next year. He was definitely ahead of guys like Daniel Thomas in the pecking order. Hopefully Malcom Askew is coming along but who knows. Doubt John Broussard will ever be a starter

Yeah tough to figure out how we replace 3 starters in that secondary.

Front 7 includes LBers. We play nickel 90% of the time. Darryl Williams and Montavious have been great!

That's part of the "yes" of my "yes and no" statement. LB depth is great. Our DL is elite, just have to stay healthy a few more games.

Honestly right now I think this is an even game, pretty much pick'em in my mind. They have more talent overall, but the injury issues are serious and they seem to be in a weird place offensively IMO. I think they'll be more "ready" than they were vs MSU but I don't think that's where the game is won or lost. I really think this is just going to come down to timely play calls either way and some players making some plays. Our guys gotta hit more of the important plays than their guys do. If we have a chance to sack or pick off Hurts we can't let it pass. If we have a RB tackled short of the line on 3rd we can't let him break the tackle. It's just gonna be the plays. I actually think Gus is in a good frame of mind and while he'll do some weird stuff he's not likely to blow the game like Clemson or LSU (the dumb Gus will resurface next year when we return most of the offense and still don't have an identity for 4 weeks).

If we beat ULM and lose to Bama, I will have nailed my season prediction for the 2nd consecutive year.

If we have to finish 1-1 maybe we’ll lose to LAMO and beat Bama.

That would be the most Tubs ending ever.

I'm going to go ahead and tell everyone that the reaction Saturday to LaMonroe is going to be doom and gloom.

We're going to be flat. That's just about unavoidable between that UGA win and the mother of all Iron Bowls (again...we've and these in 10', 13' and should have had it last year).

We're going to give up plays to their DTQB. Everyone is going to assume Hurts is going to kill us after seeing a few plays.

We're going to get hit by their quick passing attack and RPO stuff. They are closer to Ole Miss in design and style than bama, but that won't really matter to freaking out fandom that wants to freak out.

We should be sitting our defensive studs or at least heavily rotating as soon as were are 3 scores up.

Someone important will limp off the field and we won't know if it's a cramp, a simple bruise or something much worse and we won't get clarity from Gus of course.

Carlson will continue not to kick it out of the EZ on KO's and that will be a talking point.

For me, I don't care anything about how we play vs LAMO other than get out healthy. Ideally I want to be up 40 at half so we can sit everyone, but if it's slower and uglier than that and we get out healthy still I don't care. Just don't have anything truly terrible and lasting happen. I expect about 50% focus and energy going into this one so I expect some poor play, some ugly moments and general laziness on our part.
