It's tough to beat the product perfection thats evolved from the samurai culture, who would rather ritually disembowel themselves than shame their ancestors.

Honestly no idea where the idea for this thread came from other than I know people on the Greg can appreciate the amazing manufacturing craftsmanship that is synonymous with the nation of the Rising Sun.

Toyota cars (x2 for those with a VIN beginning in J)
Honda small engines
Yamaha golf carts
Yamaha electric pianos
Sony TVs
Seiko watches

It's too bad the Japanese don't make guns, air conditioners or riding mowers. And I wish I could get a Toyota diesel engine with a manual transmission.

Anyways, don't boog this up and turn it into a reminder of the atrocities that Tojo committed during WWII.

Don’t mean to end this thread early but...

Automobile quality. Not just Japanese makes, but improved initial quality of domestic vehicles, as well. US automakers in the 70s and 80s made some absolute garbage. The reliability of Toyota and Honda turned the industry on it's ear.

Would Honda count as a Japanese company, because don't they make riding lawn mowers?
