My diddy used to say, “If you don’t stand for something, you may end up an orange faced dope smoker.” Not sure how that applies to this situation, but it’s sage advice.

Not sure how I feel about a guy who spent a career being against this while in office (mostly to appease his party) suddenly getting himself into position to make serious bank on it now. Just feels....wrong.
As long as it is legalized IDGAF who gets rich off of it.

Democrats are the only folks who can evolve on issues.

I don't have an issue with evolving. I do believe sometimes (maybe 10% of the time) pols actually do evolve because they see the light of day. Most of the time they evolve because it's politically expedient. I'm not great with that but accept it as part of the system.

This feels different to me for whatever reason. You spend a career in politics being completely against something and then soon after leaving politics you decide to change your mind as everyone else seems to be going that way and you stand to make millions as a result of that change. I'm sure there are other examples of this....like Democrats who spend decades being anti-Wall Street or wanting higher capital gains taxes joining the investment banking sector and making big $$ by basically reversing course. Would be the same thing IMO...just feels especially bad to me.

It's so weird to me to see states where it's full recreational legal vs states where you have a few flakes left in your backpack and might face jail time. I've been in Vegas and San Fran the week and there are shops everywhere. Hell I saw ads here for delivery service weed. I mean I can't get alcohol delivered in Alabama.

We'll be one of the last 3-4 states to legalize though. Of this I'm sure.

No doubt about it. I’ve had it delivered in Vegas and it was just as easy as ordering a pizza. Potent AF too.

Yeah I'm done with work for the day and fly out tomorrow after one quick meeting. Delivery may happen here shortly. Been a very good work week, but busy with a ton of travel and poppa needs to RELAX.

I've talked to a couple cops around here in Shelby County. They don't give a shit about weed anymore. If they find it they usually confiscate and take it home like they do when a minor has beer.
