I’m torn on making it reviewable. That was blatant and missed bigly, but what about a game where officials have been letting them play more physical the entire game (both ways) and then they review one in a critical moment and call one on a play that has been a no call the entire game? On the side of supporting it though, a qualified ref watching a replay in real time and slow motion is more likely to get it right than a ref watching live on field forced to make a split second decision. The helmet to helmet being reviewable would have sufficed in this case, and I would be ok with making that reviewable (as long as they also made it reviewable to pick up flag as well when it wasn’t).I’m no saints fan, but they totally got screwed. They need to change the rule so that when something like this decides a game of that magnitude it needs to be reviewed. As a bungles fan the Carson Palmer rule was implemented due to that douche for the Steelers taking out his knee. Carson was never the same after that. They completely screwed the saints over
I’m all for letting them play, if it’s just good hard nosed football. That play was too blatant not to call especially when it happened. There’s no excuse those 3 idiots missed that call. The dB wasn’t even goinf for the ball he said he knew he was beat. I’m not saying every non call should be reviewed, but if everyone sees in especially in a magnitude of that game they need to take a second look at the play. It wasn’t some shitty regular season game that Ahmad no effect on the playoffs: it was so bad there were bookies in New York giving back bets. If he gets that first down, they run the clock out. There needs to be a rule implemented for inside 2 mins that when a call should of been called but wasn’t. It could burn our teams, but I’d rather them get is rightI’m torn on making it reviewable. I’m not arguing the magnitude of the missed call or the ramifications that resulted. Point being, if you allow PI to start being reviewed, you are opening up the review to subjectivity. This place wasn’t close, but if you allow review for PI you are allowing subjectivity to come into play on a play that is borderline. It just sets a bad precedent, because then they will want it expanded to holding, roughing the passer, face mask, etc. Then after they allow it on facemasks, they’re going to push to allow reviews to determine 5 yard vs 15 yard facemasks.I’m all for letting them play, if it’s just good hard nosed football.
