There’s been no speculation besides the fact that the kid can’t keep his head out of his ass.
I'm gonna guess he failed a drug test or got caught with something he shouldn't have and we somehow kept it out of police reports.
I don't like blaming HCs for kids being irresponsible but you do have a better shot at limiting these situations with top shelf leadership. We obviously don't have that.
Mack Wilson (bama LB) got REAMED out by Saban on the sidelines yesterday. There were hundreds of tweets with the video, and he quoted one and mentioned “this is why Coach Saban is the best. Can’t let my emotions get the best of me.”
I don’t think many players on this AU team would piss on Gus if he were on fire.
Yeah we don't have accountability. Well we have weird, inconsistent accountability at best. I've seen Gus kill a backup RB for a fumble, but he ain't gonna say a word to Kerryon or Pettway. He will scream at a backup QB for missing a read on a run play but never the starter. And he's too clueless about the defense to ever say anything to them.
It’s just incredible that a guy who has coached as long as Gus has no idea what a half time adjustment is.

Well you don't need them is your HS recruits good players and you have a big advantage 80% of the time. I'd argue that even Hs coaches have to adjust at the half against similar or better teams.

That screams off-field issue to me. I wouldn't punish by letting a player skip practice anyway.
If he was getting 1st team reps though that's really dumb. Unless the issue came up Thursday night.
Not sure why I care either way. The season ended when we got 2 losses before November. That was always the line in the sand.

Correct. I posted this yesterday on das boonker but my brother is friends with a current AU player and he has told my brother on multiple occasions that the team does not like or respect Gus at all.
They even have the same reaction on the sidelines as we fans do during some of the games when beep boop starts reverting to his ridiculous play calling. A lot "WTF are we doing, why is he calling that?!" that goes on along the sidelines.
This is the same guy who said Sean White couldn't possibly smoke weed, because it's too time consuming.
There is absolutely no way that he was schooled in any fashion. Even home schooled kids can have a rational thought process every now and then.
