Seems like every drive will start at the 25, unless somebody lines David Palmer up to return kicks. Does anyone take the risk of starting inside the 25, unless the game is on the line?
I say we just go to make it take it rules.I hate the half measures. If you don't want there to be KO's anymore just do that. Start everyone at their own 25 in place of the KO's. That's where this ends. And that likely means the end of the onside kick too because I just don't see how you keep it in play without it looking absurd.
OT but removing the onside part is something I've wondered about for awhile, cause if you didn't grow up watching football you'd think that was one of the most goofy rules in all of sport. There aren't very good examples in any other sport of "oh you are down by a bunch and just scored but want the ball again without letting the other team have it" type setups. Feels like something a 6 year old would come up with when playing a game and they can't accept that they are losing....changing the rules to give yourself another shot.
