OT - Who drives the worst vehicle?

I could have sworn one time you said you were eating a linchable in your TRUCK. I only remember that bc I love to still eat pizza lunchables
Had an internship/part time job for an engineering firm where I had a work truck. Don't work there anymore. That was a glorious few months not having to drive the car because I could use it at any time

I'm assuming you mean daily driver? You have me beat there but my "work truck" is a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo with 300k miles. I bought her with 63k miles in 2005. She's about to be retired though, looking at some '01-02 4Runners under 100k miles right now.

i currently drive my wife's old 2005 Kia with 200k miles where the AC doesn't work, and the handle to open the car door doesn't work from the inside so I have to roll the window down to exit the vehicle.

Can anyone beat that?

In college I had an old buick riviera. I hydroplaned and took out the light assembly on the passenger side. Had to use a large flash light with an old funky 6V wired in place. I got pulled over for having a light out and I explained I had a light. The officer walked over looked, got bug eyed and @died laughing. He let me go doe. True story.

Why 4Runner? I don't have anything against them, just wondering what your thoughts were on choosing one

Make an officer laugh and you can usually get off. That's pretty good

I got a 2009 white Impala that the Blue Book value is $2100. When I ran out of gas in GLASGOW, Ky last year, it was because BOTH the digital mileage AND hand guage were not working. Ran outta gas agian in May about 15 miles out of Meridain. Chevy place said only way to fix it, was to replace the fuel pump for $925, and my car would still only be worth $2100. I'm just gonna keep gas in it from now on. And about Glasgow

That's incredibly low mileage. Pretty good value there. Is getting a work vehicle worth being in sales?
Depends. Sales is stressful AF, honestly. Most places these days just give you a vehicle allowance and let you choose the vehicle. Can't really do that when you're in equipment sales, though, because you can't haul equipment around in a Honda Civic.

I'm not familiar with that vehicle, but when my driver arrived this morning to pick me up in a 2016 Cadillac XTS, I pretended I was someone else.

Currently rocking a 1999 Honda Accord after my Explorer was totaled... ran over a ceiling fan in the Accord (yep, you read that right) on the interstate right outside of Auburn a few months back. Swerved out of the way just enough so that it only blew out a tire and had some minor front end damage. Luckily there was no one around me... only other person on the road was the junk truck in front of me that didn't even realize that they dropped a damn metal ceiling fan out of their truck bed.

My new ride. Just got on.

I had a 2000 4Runner. Drove that thing for 10 years. Great vehicle. I will probably always drive a Toyota.

2003 Trailblazer with the bumper held together with tape (from the inside, I'm not 100% trash.) Air conditioner only works on high. Just radio, the CD player doesn't work and the cassette player eats anything you put in it.

2001 Explorer. Back passenger window broke so I tried to fix it and now the whole door is hollow. I have a wooden shim in it to keep it up. Cassette player. Everything else is fine.

The car was gifted to me from my Grandmother. When I say gifted it was given to me after I remodeled her downstairs area and tore down her pier at the lake. She wanted a newer one anyway. I love this car because it's been reliable and I haven't been lucky in the past with cars.

Back in the old days-when Mama Bear was with child.

1991 or 92?

I bought a slightly used Olds 98 for my Wife. I got her 1983 Prelude with a non-working air conditioner. Car had 114,000 miles on it back then. Engine was good- interior was showing a lot of wear.

Was on the Pensacola Bay Bridge headed home to Gulf Breeze when the driver's seat snapped at the joint. I ended up with my head in the back seat while I nearly tore the steering wheel off the column trying to get back up. Made it home holding onto the wheel and having to shift gears when I could free up my right hand.

I was able to get the snapped joint welded back in only one place-meaning no longer adjustable.

I know- years ago and more of a story- but an unairconditioned 1983 Prelude with a welded seat joint in Pensacola FL heat was not my idea of a nice ride.

PS
That would be hard to beat- though I have seen some doozies- to quote a red headed avctor I loved in the 1970s- Hazel.

Back years ago- you may have read my Prelude story- - I was happy to have a car that cranked and was paid for. I went from that nightmare of a car to my first real new one- my 1996 Chevy Lumina. Loved the new smell and - the huge feature-a/c!!

Things went up from there and now I don't care so long as my 2007 Caddy SUV gas hawg cranks and has my favorite feature- again, a/c.

You are talented Harvey and will get a nicer ride one day.
Not that you are complaining, but it takes a little time and good deals are out there on brand new cars as well as nice demos.

Happy motoring!!
And, Blaze ON!!!

I shouldn't be laughing, but that's funny right there CJ.

Any/everything on the car is manual. The original radio didn’t even have a tape player.

Wouldn’t trade it for anything.
