Sounds like it's gonna happen in the near future. Both football and basketball are about to get crazy volatile. This could really be nuts. ADs might have to start consulting with players about firing and hiring coaches because they don't want kids to transfer.

That is an interesting topic. I’m 100% in favor of kids being able to leave if their position coach, “lead” recruiter or HC leaves. Randomly will be a can of worms....

I haven't read anything other than that tweet about it, but why is there even a push to make this happen? Is there some type of players' union that's trying to make this happen? Or are they sort of offering this up as some sort of compromise bc they don't want to allow paying players? Letting all these kids have immediate eligibility has the potential to be just a total disaster. I'm all for giving the players more power but you also can't have programs just completely at the mercy of the whims and emotional reactions of teenagers. I'd be for it though if they said allowed Jrs and Srs to transfer freely. I think they have to put a cap on it somehow.

I’m sure the restrictions to other conferences/schools that coaches put on the kids will still be in play. And you’ll probably see those restrictions get tighter as a result. You would think, anyway.
