When saying the score of a game

Do you say the winning score first or do you say the losing score first?

j/k, if I'm referring to the game I list the score winning team first and then the winning's team name. 27-23, LSU. If I am discussing the losing team I say, "OBBERN lost to LSU, 23-27 through one of the worst displays of coaching in the history of organized sports."

I asked my wife a couple of times during the game what the score was. She would respond with something like “28-14 A&M is losing.” Bless her heart.
