Basketball: Men and Women, Any Thoughts?

Hard to believe that basketball season is upon us.

The men have an exhibition game this coming Sunday at 2 PM at the convo, before opening the season at UCLA on November 15 at 11 PM EST.

The WBB team has a home exhibition game on Saturday November 3 at 4 PM, before opening the season at UVA on November 9 at 7 PM.

Really do not know what to expect from either team and am hoping for great seasons from both teams. Last years WNIT run was an amazing run and hopefully this year we make the NCAAT. Also the game against UD on February 10 could be a battle between two top 25 teams. Exciting times for sure.

I actually thought the freshman in today's exhibition looked good. I think they are really going to contribute. I think the team is better than they were last year, but time will tell.

Very surprised the women's team is 0-2 with the talent in our backcourt and WNIT experience. Need a win tonight.

I am too actually, but I guess the lack of experience from various players on the inside has been our weak spot. Hopefully that starts to change and it becomes a strength. We really miss Whitehurst, but hopefully Shepherd and Ross can really step up their game.
