Quick note to start, my range session went late and was able to speed through over an hour of commercials/ half time to catch up live start of the 4th. Quite a treat. Anyway, let's breakdown what we saw.

The first half was an absolute joy. The d was the d. Nothing new there. But the O was spectacular. And legitimately not in our typical abuse an overmatched opponent with BS that won't work against a real squad. Kerryon making moves, Jarret making incredible throws. WRs making plays. Creative, inspired play calling. What a treat.

2nd half we nearly house the KO and that would have been a wrap on Jarret and Kerryon. Stall and it was shitsville the rest of the way.

I really try not to be annoyed about how we finish off games but it's difficult. Continue to run our lead back into the ground. 30 touches is outlandish. BS wildcat plays that don't work. The next time we throw a TD in the RZ in a big game will be a first in over 3 years but we don't work on it when we have the chance. Very frustrating and I suspect this will cost us down the stretch.

All in all though clearly Jarret is improving, the OL is improving and the play calling is a bit more inspired. Still could come together in time for UGA. Will still be tough to make it through this road stretch unscathed despite the confidence in Boogville.

This has been 'EA'.

The baffling bit about the second half is they were putting in tons of backups except for the two most important player in Stidham and Kerryon. No fuggin reason to have Jarrett and Kerryon our there with 2nd string o lineman and skill guys. Lucky they didn’t get hurt

You could see the frustration/disbelief on Malik and Pettway's faces (Bubba not wanting in; just dumbfounded) when Gus wouldn't take Stid out and with the in-and-out show used to give Malik some playing time.
I don't know what's more disturbing - the sharty way Gus utilized personnel in the second half or the fact many on the Boog board don't/can't see where this is a problem.

Boogs being Boogs. I get kind of putting the game away and not doing anything stupid like turning it over but it was complete nonsense. D giving up pts was no biggie at all but this is Gus doing his usual that costs us later on. I swear we try to stall sometimes on purpose to get Carlson kicks.

It was like he was more concerned with Malick Willis getting hurt than he was with Stidham. With Stidham, Gus was like he can just call runs and Stidham would be okay. So he didn’t want Malick in there pulling it himself and risking injury. I really think that’s how Gus thinks

I've given up hope on our HC having a logical approach to resting the right starters or rotating RBs in a way that makes sense to everyone else in football. It's insane but I known he's never changing on this front.

As @Denim Vest stated, the offense was actually called well and there looked to be a real plan. The 2 play sequence in which we used Stove on a little slip play and then followed it with the long KJ run was brilliant. We just burned them with Stove and the we run him in motion and also kept #27 blocking on that end, normally the key we are going that way. We cutback to the left and every LB had overrun the play. We used the previous play plus our tendencies to set up a chunk play. It's like 2010/2013 Gus stuff made a cameo. You know, the stuff before he went dumb

That sequence where he swapped them in and out was such Gus nonsense. The guy is such an idiot and nothing will ever change that.

I noticed a sequence where we had baby Kam on first and 2nd then we bring in Miller on 3rd and long. I don't know maybe it's not a biggie but wouldn't Kam be more of a 3rd down back. Guess it wouldn't annoy me if it wasn't Gus but our 3rd down stuff is so bush. 3rd and short wildcat 3rd and more than short send a bunch of guys out deep and pray for a miracle.

I'd like to think this, but I don't believe he thinks at all on this stuff. I think he's just repeating what he's always done like some kind of flawed code

Baby Kam made some really nice runs. All he does is deliver. He’s not as shifty as Kerryon in the open field but he’s very good at finding holes to run through. I wish we got to see him more

That makes some sense. However, the other side of that 3rd and long coin is the need to pass. Baby Kam is the absolute worst RB on the team when it comes to pass blocking. If you send him out there, and based on the way the coaches read the defense before calling the play, you don’t want him out there if his block is going to be key to the success or failure of the pass play due to him picking up an end or LB that’s coming off the edge clean.

Yeah true and that's legitimate. I just hate how we rarely involve the RB in the passing game.
