What was the response?334-844-4650 Call the presidents office today in support. I called this morning and let them know that if Bruce is let go I will no longer buy season tickets along with every family member and a lot of friends.
Talked to a lady for about 5 minutes and listed off names of family and friends that will cease to donate in the event of a Bruce firing. She told me they’ve had an influx of support for Bruce among donors, and they will do their due diligence. She said she appreciated my call today. More of a response than I ever got with the gogue administration. @BigtimeAub told me this morning that Leath actually responded to an email he sent personally! So, we probably hired the right guy. What was the response?
That’s the greatest thing I’ve ever heard. I love it.I called yesterday. The lady was very pleasant and read back what she was going to report to Leath, including my statement of "the OBBERN Athletic Department is an embarrassment on a national scale, ran by a gang of bumbling yokels for as long as I can remember. They're an embarrassment to OBBERN University and all of the fans. "
It was fantastic having someone from OBBERN say those things out loud, even if they were just quoting me.
Real talk, did this really happened? If so that's fantastic!I called yesterday. What’d you do?I’d post this on tbb, but looks like I’m banned for good.

Don't forget to ask for a READ RECEIPT.I wrote a long, detailed email expressing my severe displeasure to Leath, JJ and McGlynn. If I don't get a reply back, I will be forwarding it back to them with a "HIGH IMPORTANCE" tag.
All I said is that I enjoy posting on this board more, and that scalded dog was whining to Solly about not being defended on here. That's literally it. If I knew how to post my PM conversation with him recently, you'd think he is my gf that I cheated on and tried to ask for a second chance. What’d you do?
i would have usedOk for real fired off an email. My letter writing skills could be better but fug jt:
Dear Dr. Leath,
I’m writing you regarding recent issues that have come to light within the Athletics Department and surrounding Coach Bruce Pearl. While I look forward to a new chapter in Auburn Athletics with the resignation of Jay Jacobs I’ve never been more embarrassed to be an Auburn Alum and supporter. I know there are many more that feel the same way. The scandal, the selfishness, the lack of professionalism and leadership not only paints Auburn Athletics in a bad light but also the entire University and all of its alumni and supporters. I hope with your leadership we can move past all these issues and make Auburn University and Auburn Athletics the very best and something all of us can be proud of.
With that being said Bruce Pearl has been one of the very few bright spots. He embodies the Auburn Spirit, serves as an incredible role model to his players and is a passionate ambassador of Auburn University. He has brought so much excitement to a program that has never reached its potential. I implore you to do everything in your power to support him and his players and allow him to continue the great progress he has made. Auburn University is better off having Bruce Pearl.
I wish you great success as President of Auburn University.
Sincerely,
DENIM

Awesome. thanks for sharing. They should email you back for that at least or even a phone call.It is long, and personal to me, so not sure if a copy and paste would work, but here’s what I wrong (as I said, it is very long, and also pretty Creedy, but whatever man—I’m just feeling my feelings):
President Leath:
I hope you are doing well. I am CC’ing others who to whom this message may be relevant. I am contacting you today to express my unequivocal support for Coach Bruce Pearl. Let me first tell you a little about myself. I’m a third generation Auburn alum. My parents met at Auburn in the 80s. Both of my grandfathers attended Auburn, with my paternal grandfather lettering in track. I am also a little unique in that Auburn basketball has always been as important to me as Auburn football. I remember laying on my bedroom floor as a child listening to the late Jim Fyffe call games when Tommy Joe Eagles, and then Cliff Ellis, coached the Tigers.
I myself am a 2005 graduate of Auburn. I was lucky enough to be a student manager for Auburn from 2001-2005, which means I experienced Auburn’s most recent trip to the NCAA Tournament (2002-03, a Sweet 16 appearance under Coach Cliff Ellis). I was also there for Jeff Lebo’s first season. His first team didn’t win the most games, but I’ve rarely seen a team with more fight than that team. I’ve supported Auburn basketball through thick and thin. And, I know you aren’t terribly familiar with basketball culture at Auburn, but there has been a lot of thin.
I’ll admit to having despaired a little when we opened the new Arena, and still failed to play and recruit at a high level. Then we hired Bruce Pearl. My hope was restored. My enthusiasm was restored. It was only a matter of time before Auburn basketball would be truly relevant again. And I think all Auburn people new that. It was so encouraging to see the renewed enthusiasm from the Auburn Family for Auburn basketball. Our basketball history is not bright, in general, but we have had flashes, and with the hiring of Coach Pearl, we had everything we needed to be great if we gave him time to build.
Coach Pearl’s first few seasons have been admittedly up and down, but one thing that can’t be denied is that the fan support, enthusiasm among the Auburn family and talent level is as high as it has been in many years. Maybe since Cliff Ellis had a guy named Doc Robinson playing point guard. This is the year we were set to turn the corner. Then an awful thing happened, Chuck Person, an Auburn legend, betrayed his University, the players and the coaching staff. I was heart-broken, as I’m sure many Auburn folks were and still are. But I was still confident that, despite this, we had the right man, Bruce Pearl, to lead us through this. We had an excellent team and passionate fans. This would be a speed bump, and we would be alright.
And then a couple of weeks ago, I started to hear troubling rumors that Auburn was trying to force Bruce Pearl out. And now there is national media attention on the issue. Let me here explain my understanding of the current situation:
-Auburn’s attorneys and the Compliance Department want to discuss the player eligibility issues with Coach Pearl on his staff (though I don’t think there is an agreement to limit discussion to just those issues).
-There is an ongoing FBI investigation.
-Coach and his staff have said they will be happy to speak to everyone, but not right now because of the ongoing investigation and because of advice from their lawyers. Auburn’s attorneys and Compliance agree that they would do the same thing in Coach Pearl’s position.
-But, for some reason, someone involved in all this has created a deadline that they know that Coach Pearl cannot and SHOULD NOT have to meet regarding discussing these issues.
If I’m wrong, and if there is other information that is relevant, I certainly hope whoever leaked the initial info to the press will finish their leak so we know what is going on. But, until that point, I can only believe what credible information I have heard from various sources.
So here we stand, with Coach Pearl and his entire staff apparently in jeopardy, the day the season is set to tip off. As you know many, many programs were impacted by rogue assistants and this FBI sting. Only Louisville made a change of head coaches, and that was only because Coach Pitino was implicated in paying a player to come to Louisville. There are no such allegations or connections regarding Auburn. This arbitrary deadline is very concerning to me. Certainly everyone knows that Bruce cannot say anything right now. It could even be the case that the FBI/DOJ’s instruction to not discuss the matters involved in the Chuck Person situation still stand. And even if they don’t, I can tell you as someone who has practicing criminal law that even innocent people should not voluntarily divulge any information regarding an ongoing investigation unless granted immunity. I have seen innocent people charged, and even convicted, all because they didn’t head their lawyer’s advice to remain silent. Certainly you understand that all information provided to Auburn would be discoverable by the DOJ and FBI. Coach Pearl and his staff cannot say anything right now. They can later, but not now. So why the deadline?
It seems to me that there is someone(s) who wants Coach Pearl gone, even with no evidence of wrong-doing on his part, and an untenable situation has been created to facilitate this. Let me tell you now that Auburn Family will not support this athletic department or this Auburn administration if Bruce Pearl is forced out under this circumstances. If he was complicit with Chuck Person, that’s a different story entirely. But there’s no evidence to indicate that at present. Coach Pearl had his phone and laptop seized and examined by the FBI, and no charges have been levied against him. That’s strong evidence of innocence. I just want you and the entire Auburn administration to understand what you will be doing to the Auburn basketball program and the Auburn fan base if Coach Pearl is run off. You will be setting our program back a decade or more, and completely alienating many fans. Some of them for good. There is already very little confidence in the administration because of the myriad of issues that Auburn has faced over the last year. I think some in the administration may think that running off this coaching staff would increase confidence, but it would do quite the opposite.
Let me end with a little story:
My now-7-year old daughter went to the annual Auburn basketball lettermen get-together with me when she was four (Coach Pearl’s first year). They said families could come, but she was the only person under age 18. She was perfect and attentive (even laughing at Sonny’s jokes there’s no way she understood). Before we left, Bruce, tired from all the a full week of practice and a preparation and a night of walking around and talking with formers players and coaches, and visibly limping (he’s suffered from lower back issues for a while, as I understand it), stopped to tell her she was pretty and take a picture with her. She’s been taken with him ever since and brought a cut-out of Coach Pearl’s face to her preschool for show-and-tell the next week. When she overheard me mention people were trying to fire Coach Pearl, she was visibly upset and said that Coach doesn’t need to leave Auburn--the people trying to do that need to leave Auburn.
I think her opinion represents the large-majority sentiment amongst the Auburn Family. And I surely hope that you and everyone else in Samford Hall knows that. We are not scholarship donors. We are not people of great influence. But we are Auburn people. We love Auburn. And we support Coach Bruce Pearl.
WAR EAGLE!
Good job bro. Should have dropped a War Eagle instead of sincerely in mine but it as if it's left my vocabulary at this point. It is long, and personal to me, so not sure if a copy and paste would work, but here’s what I wrong (as I said, it is very long, and also pretty Creedy, but whatever man—I’m just feeling my feelings):

WAR EAGLE!
Respect, indeed. 1300 words!
I thought that was an @auliferz post at first. Almost did not read. Glad I did.I’ve never been accused of being concise. Shout out to the Auburn Philosophy Dept. Law school tried to break me of it but I was like, “Nah, I’m good.”

I feel very inadequate and emasculated all at the same time now.It is long, and personal to me, so not sure if a copy and paste would work, but here’s what I wrong (as I said, it is very long, and also pretty Creedy, but whatever man—I’m just feeling my feelings):
