Jgt said said this morning things have been crazy. Honestly don't see how Bruce isn't pissed off to not leave. Being difficult to work with/for is part of life in every business. But when the company you work for treats you the way they have with Bruce it's personal.
If we can get to the game tomorrow I suspect there will be an outpouring of support for BRUCE. Hopefully that can reset things a bit.

Do you guys/girls realize that someone at AU leaked the one sided info regarding CBP and his staff? Do you realize by doing so they have further put AU in legal jeopardy. These people are so shortsighted and stupid its truly incompetence. With the AD a dead man walking and a all new president its a perfect storm. Buckle up because the next few weeks may be more spectacular than most can imagine right now. There is still hope that an adult will arrive and do the obvious here but time is running out.
When all the dust settles here I have decided to write a long post about the real truth that our program has been fighting for the last decade +. I also want to write about the absurdity and pure selfishness of TUF.
A whole lot needs to change at AU and I attended it, I have lived in Auburn over 25 years and have given a absurd amount of money to it. I love AU and I love AU hoops so I hope no one thinks my heart is not in the right place.
Just really sad times.

Yeah I saw that and I wish he would go ahead and write it now regardless of what happens. It needs to be said. And jgt confirmed that many up there don't know the term Jaba or what "having an Auburn week" means. They are so insulated in their bubble, like Jay Jacobs was, that they don't even know their incompetence.

I'd bet the overlap between ssp/Gus supporter and Bruce hater is quite high. Just a bunch of guys that can't stand that Gus and Bruce are held to different standards given the historical level of their respective programs.
The above is why so many peeps hate Bruce. He's a baller and they never have been.
Why is everyone so certain that Schlabaugh's info is actually timely? Everything that he/ESPN has said about this has basically come straight off of the bunker and Tater's rundowns from last week. And everyone is acting like there is some big conspiracy leaker out to get Bruce. Nothing came of the deadline last friday except for a JJ resignation. Schlabaugh reports this week about Bruce not complying with AD demands to interview. I don't see where that is "news." If I'm missing something, please, help me connect the dots. I just can't get outraged or worried about any of this.
yeah and I just looked up an article on his contract details. Of course JJ gets favorable buyout language for the one coach we all want forever. They could buy him out for any reason for around $3M I think.
To be fair, many of his most ardent supporters over there act like a cook out is all that Bruce has ever done wrong. He has baggage from way back. We were lucky as hell to get him. Our soon to be ex-AD made a strong move getting him. Bruce knew the program needed to be squeaky clean and that AU was probably his last big job, one way or the other. It’s not looking squeaky clean now and there are possibly consequences for that. As far as accomplishments, I’ve been slightly disappointed other than with recruiting. I still know he’s the best coach we’ll ever have.....

And I hope he sticks around long enough to win something. Just doesn’t sound promising.
He tried to rat out some recruit in like 89. I'm not aware of any other issues.
My gripe is if not for Auburn people we'd have never had Chuck on staff. I hold all them accountable. Any additional findings from the FBI thing are on them. Everything we've ever done since the day he got here has gone through compliance. Kid getting a few bucks from a booster or cheating on a test I'd not care about in the least.
If not for Auburn people, Bruce would’ve never been here either. Got to take the good with the bad. I don’t care about any of that stuff myself. For god sakes we all pull for a team who named their football field after a cheater whose hero was the bahr. I’m just saying he knew he had to be careful. And he allowed a national “cheating” scandal to happen on his watch. He MAY have to suffer the consequences. Again, I hope not.
I'll be honest, I haven't read everything Schlabach has put out but I'm pretty sure he reported that there was no deadline. According to JGT and JLee that is 100% false. Which makes some assume that Schlabach got his info from someone in the admin trying to spin the info into a favorable light.
From there you can wonder into the motivations of the AD.
I just think there's too much smoke even though mostly provided by internet personas. I'm also extremely sensitive about BRUCE and our beloved bball program so I'm kinda spazzing which is out of my character. This is typical boog U though and we are in the midst of an FBI probe brought on by a boog legend.

First off, I would like to commend you on your work to secure the resignation of Mr. Jacobs as Athletic Director. Job well done, sir. Secondly, I would like to wish you well in your search for a replacement. I believe that your search should begin and end with Mr. Chris Del Conte of TCU but I’m sure that any candidate that you select will do a fine job as evidenced in your hires during your time at Iowa State University.
Lastly, and most importantly, I feel that I must offer my unconditional support to Coach Bruce Pearl. I certainly do not pretend to know anything about what is going on within the Men’s Basketball program but I implore you to support Coach Pearl as well and secure the full support of the entire Auburn University administration on his behalf. Coach Pearl has elevated the status of our program as only seen in the days of Coach Cliff Ellis and one Chris Porter. After decades of abysmal performance, Coach Pearl finally has this program on the verge of greatness (even if only by Auburn’s standards). I feel that you would be remiss in allowing his dismissal, if any of the rumors are true. I find you to be a man of intelligence and sound decision making. Allowing anything other than Coach Pearl to continue in his capacity as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Auburn University would be a great travesty and would likely set our program back decades again. Though I have great disdain for Mr. Jacobs, I must admit that his greatest accomplishment at Auburn University was the hiring of Bruce Pearl. If there were any legacy of Mr. Jacobs that I would approve of, it would be for the Auburn University Athletics Department to do anything and everything within reason to maintain Coach Pearl’s status as Head Coach for as many years to come as possible.
I offer you and Coach Pearl all of my support and wish both the very best.
