JMU Women... and a football update

I just did a post on Nikki vs. Delle Donne and how Kirby should shoot more at the end of games. Thought I'd post something here and see what you guys thought about those things and JMU WBB in general at the moment. Also, I'd try to answer any questions you may have -- if you have any.

I thought JMU was as good as Delaware. They may not have a player as good as Delle Donne (who does?), but as a team, I think JMU is stronger -- even though the Hens do some have pieces after Delle Donne. I admit I was skeptical when Tina Martin made such a point tell me they were a team. To me at the time it was coach-speak and the politically correct thing to say.

Basically what I am saying is I don't think Delaware is invincible.

And your football update: My official first day as JMU football beat writer is Thursday. Mike will handle signing day.

I agree, I really thought JMU was a better overall team and feel that we should have won the game. But when you have a player like EDD, that can be the difference. Losing Nikki with a minute to go did hurt a little, just as her getting 3 and 4 fouls early. I don't think there is any other defender in the CAA that can guard EDD like Nikki can.
