Is it possible for LSU to tailspin out of the tourney?
.....I don't fear that trip to Knoxville and I'm not sure that A&M isn't the tougher game for us now.
it
skylar mays on another heater. Wish we had someone like him on our squad this year
Yeah big win for them but Bruce is still Rick’s daddy until proven otherwise.UT beats the Cats tonight. Not looking forward to Saturday to be honest.
miss st also lost which clinched the Boogs' ticket for a double bye in the sec tourneyGuys can we talk about Bama losing at home to Vandy. lol that’ll do it for their tourney hopes.
And UK clearly suffered from the ‘Auburn effect’. Too much of an emotional high to come down from after beating our boogs.

While fun to watch it was just a crappy night for the league again regarding National perception. Amazing to think we could finish win 29 wins and end up on the 4 line. I think we’d move to the 3 but there are no guarantees. We all know how hard it is to go on the road and win in this league but the parity is hurting us this year while it seems to lift some leagues.
Yeah their overall profile is much better than the SEC but off the top of my head we had some pretty good results. Mizzou beat Illinois. Ole Miss beat Penn St. Kentucky beat Mich St. also lost to Oh St. Prob had some losses I can’t think of but I’d expect to basically split 14 games in that scenario. I think they get a little too much credit based off some of the metrics. I mean fuggin Rutgers is in tourney consideration seriously?the league had too many bad OOC loses and not enough good OOC wins. Even some of the wins hurt our ratings because they were "statistically poor" wins...AU had a few of those.
I can't figure the league out. If we matched up with the B10 1-14 I wonder how we'd perform. I don't feel like we'd lose that one by some terrible 10-4 margin. On the right day we might even win it 8-6.
Same for the NCAAT. I can see UK both making a big run or falling on their face in RD2. Same for AU, LSU and UF. We could have nobody at all by 2nd weekend or we could have 4 teams in the Sweet 16. I literally have no way to gauge how the conference will do.
if UK makes a deep run I’ll be shocked... if any SEC team is in the elite 8 I’ll be surprised, but UK was built in a lab to get bounced in round 1 or 2
I don't love any team in this league to make a big run in a normal NCAA season, but when I watch other leagues there are only a handful of teams that look much better than average. UK is ranked 6th and honestly I can't find many teams below them that are super impressive and that I'd think of as sure things to beat UK. I think SDSU is mostly overrated (good but not Top 10 good) and Baylor is gonna be a top 2 seed that likely plays nothing but close games so they can get knocked off pretty early if things fall wrong for them. There are a lot of Top 25 teams that are very mediocre IMO. Gonna be a very wild tourney
Interesting stuff going on at UK. Sounds like a riff between Cal and Hagans. Big thread on RR about it. Apparently, an "insider" called their radio show last night after the loss about this and "sources" confirmed its legitimacy.
as I said earlier, I haven’t watched as much UK as normal, but even though they won they just looked off Saturday... Hagans and Quickley just didn’t give me the warm and fuzzies - their body language was all over the place, way too emotional, and just not what I expect from guards on good teams
it’s hard to say exactly why, and pointless armchair psychology, but they’re both schizophrenic - especially Hagans... celebrating WAY too much, but in a way that seems disingenuous - likes he’s trying to convince himself... then falling apart when something goes wrong 60 seconds later... he’s a head case - so nothing will surprise me with him
nvm. He walked down the tunnel but he's back since one tech was a bench techcoach cal just got tech'd out of the game. Lol
Legit T or change the narrative in a loss T?coach cal just got tech'd out of the game. Lol

he thought he was ejected but since he got one t mouthing off and one for just being outside the coaching box then he gets to stay or something. He walked down the tunnel and everything but they called him back.Legit T or change the narrative in a loss T?
Wow at uk coming back. Good for us too imo
Kind of funny that the narrative before the season from bama fans was "Avery wasn't getting the best out of his talent. Now Nate Oats is installing a system that suits these players." Now it has shifted to "Can't wait till Nate Oats gets in players that fit his system bc these players don't."
No idea if Oats is a good corch or not. But his recruiting so far leaves a lot to be desired if you're a bama fan. And you ain't gonna climb the sec ladder if you can't at least a few real studs. So, hopefully all their players jump into the draft and bama is left "rebuilding" again next season while the Boogs fly high
yeah. Feel like he's a decent coach. I'm not convinced he's gonna be able to pull in top level talent to bama though. No southern connections and he's up against some great crooters in this league. But we'll seeIm slightly concerned with Oats. He at least gets the important part about how basketball should be played. Plus they’re a Nike school, so Nike has to help them land some studs because it will look bad if the premier Under Armor school is drilling them every year.
