Hoping this youngster is still going through puberty and gets to 6’9 or so. Stud either way but would make a nice 5 man.
I’d assume that he’s closer to 6-5 or 6-6 than his listed 6-7. Could still be growing but I assume he’s the heir apparent to Chuma

love the skill set and BRUCE has been on him hard for a while so I’m sold - but he’s not “leap off the screen at you” explosive

very smooth... very skilled... 3-4 year player that you really build a program with... but I’ll be more comfortable the taller he gets and closer to the basket he can play

I think he’ll be a monster once he gets in a college weight program. Kid comes from a town of 1k people and a super rural small HS. Doubt he’s ever really lifted or trained in his life

Auburn hosts key prospects
Auburn already has the No. 8 recruiting class nationally with pledges from Isaac Okoro, Allen Flanigan and Babtunde Akingbola. They’ll look to add to their committed list this weekend, as they host two of their top remaining targets.

Four-star forward Jaylin Williams and four-star guard Tyrell Jones will both take their official visits to Auburn.

Auburn is considered the leader for both based on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. Six of the seven predictions for Williams have picked Auburn, while all six logged predictions for Jones have picked the Tigers. If they added both, the Tigers would have the No. 4 overall class in the country.

To go with those important official visits, Auburn is also slated to host some key underclassmen. Top three 2020 prospect Anthony Edwards and top three 2021 recruit Jonathan Kuminga will both be in town, which is significant.

Other visitors include Moulaye Sissoko, Bretner Mutombo, Rafael Pinzon, Michael Thomas, Emareyon McDonalds, Franke Anselem, Elias King, Dalen Ridgnal and MiKale Stephens.

+++++

Studs galore. Thought the Massoud kid was visiting maybe just an oversight.

This says Massoud will be there and two of the underclassmen are 5 star studs

The Massoud kid's visit became questionable because they weren't sure if he would be able to fly home due to the hurricane.

Edwards is a tad chunky for my liking right now

but Kuminga...

“I did it last night,” Williams said. “I always liked the SEC and then it’s not far from home. I thought it was the best fit for me. The whole coaching staff is pretty cool.”

Williams, a standout at Nahunta (Ga.) Brantley County, also strongly considered College of Charleston, Georgia, Mississippi State and St. John’s, before opting for Bruce Pearl and the Tigers. Williams said his decision really hit him earlier this month."

sorry @MomentInTheSun hate to take this kid from CoC but it's for the greater good

Says he had a great visit, but plans on signing in Spring. Says he is not sure when he will commit. Has two more OVs set up, UL and OM
Unfortunate. Hope he reconsiders. Feel like he’s at the top of our board but I’m sure Bruce could procure a similar talent early if he wants.

Ugghhh. I’m sure plenty of coaches have been all in his ear about how Harper is a 4 year player. I’m okay with missing on him as long as Jared absolutely stays his senior year.

Not sure how that would really hurt us, though (Jared being a 4-year player).

Yeah. I want Jared to stay 4 years absolutely but it’s already shown that he’s making it difficult in crootin pgs. Davion left and then they couldn’t get a grad transfer in that was willing to play behind Jared. I think ideally they didn’t want a 2 year Juco in McCormick but that’s what happened. It is all setting up for the Boogs to get Cooper though (assuming he doesn’t reclassify).

I understand that, but was just saying wasn't sure how Harper being a 4 year guy hurting for this class. I agree on the last class. But the 2019 PH we sign would get the play with Harper before taking over (or competing with Cooper). So since none of the guys we are recruiting is a one and done type at PG in the 2019 class, I would think Harper being a senior next year would help more than. It would hurt, since he would be gone their soph year. JMO

when you're not forced to stay in school for at least 3 years like in football, I just think bball recruits prioritize early PT A LOT. If a kid knows he's gonna sit behind Jared for a year, he may see it as a waste when he could've been starting at Ole Miss or something.

We just disagree here. If it was more than one year of having to sit behind Jared it would make more sense, IMO, and I would agree with you. But not for just one year, IMO.
