Don't know anything about UCF except that they lost their coach and I think they play shitty defense.

Boogs will probably come into this one a bit disinterested but, hopefully, fully healthy so I'm expecting AU to just run right over them.

Wouldn't surprise me either if Carlton Davis sits out for the game to protect his draft status. maybe Holland too.

Lose - Lose situation for boogU.

I have watched more than one UCF game and they are pretty good. Have not seen if Frost will coach the bowl game or not but assuming he doesn't that is good news for the boogs.

I thought Frost was going to coach the bowl. Has that changed?

I don't see their defense stopping us either way.

It’s a big time New Year’s Day bowl. Sucks that it’s in Atl and against a non power 5 team, but it’s still cool.

I doubt the Boogs sell out their ticket allotment though.

I’m excited for one more Boog game and hopefully we get to see some young guys out there to get us excited for next season

He made mention of wanting to but I doubt it happens. Or if it does, he’ll just be on the sideline for the game and have very very very little to do with the overall bowl prep/practices

Hopefully the boogs run away with this one, no clue if it'll happen though as I haven't done any of my scouting yet. I just really don't want Auburn to be the poster boy for why the group of 5 teams need a fair shot.

This will likely be a loss.... See Gus's and Auburn's bowl record against teams we should beat... We barely beat Northwestern. Wisconsin owns us. We looked horrible in the Birmingham bowl a few years ago. Like the SEC title game, Gus did a shitty job preparing for OU last year. We refused to get back ups ready, so don't expect to see Willis just like last year we didn't see John.

I want to win this bullsh!t game. We need to end on a high note. Let Pettway play and run over some fools.
PLAY TO WIN THE GAME.

It’s been a nice season and this is a nice Bowl...but for this AU fan it has more of an old school Peach Bowl feel than a NY6 Peach Bowl feel. The start time adds to my “meh”. Good news is we’ll still have a big crowd and we SHOULD mash them.

need a win - and preferably a strong, christian, asswhooping - to salvage some good vibes from Gusvember...

between consistent struggles in September and poor performances in bowl games, it makes me question how Gus spends his practice time... give a good corch an entire offseason to prepare - or a month in the case of bowl games - and they should have their team ready... yet Gus consistently looks woefully unprepared

no excuse not to light up the scoreboard against their less than hulking youngsters

To me it’s a pretty meaningless bowl game. Hope it’s competitive and hope the Boogs win, but I’m sure these bowl practices will be dedicated to getting young guys more reps and experience heading into spring ball.

I’m sure the seniors will be fired up since it’s their last chance to put on the orange and boog, but I don’t think this is some “must win” game that proves anything either way.

You play to win, no? If Gus isn't treating this game like a must win after signing that extension then he's dumber than even I thought he was.

Dude you read way too much into what people say. I gave my thoughts on the game. I have no idea how Gus views it. I do know that he, and every other fuggin coach in a bowl game, will use a lot of this extra practice time to help develop young guys. That’s just how it goes. I’m sure Gus wants to win. Jesus Christ.

Such a sensitive little girl you've become. I Did nothing but give my opinion, same as you.

So the Peach state is actually referring to a fruit? Hell, all this time I thought it meant it was easier to get laid in that state than any other state in the Union. Damn, my bad.

Would it be too much heat to suggest UCF has more potential as a program than Nebraska? If the B12 was serious about expanding they’d be at the top of the list I’d imagine.
That’s a Stidham’s jock level hAUt take. Which is to say, above average heat but not scAUlding. I tend to agree with you.

I never said you were crazy. I said I would have to see proof to believe that. I have no idea why he is out.

But that isn't proof he has been suspended.
At this point I would look at it as there is no proof he's injured, therefore it's more than likely something else. Most probable is suspension.

LOL. If you're drug testing your athletes for cannabis in 2017, it's definitely on you.

First of all @cookedw has gone full on sunshine pumper lately. I've said before that I'm a sunshine pumper at heart but I think you're a bit over the top.

I think this is an AU problem more than a Gus problem. I don't believe he has any control over who gets drug tested. I would bet my life that bama doesn't drug test key players in the middle of the season, but who knows maybe I would die.

If Gus' football players are being drug tested during the season then that's on Gus, regardless of what AUAD has written down on paper. A HC with any power wouldn't allow that to happen. you made my point for me regarding the UAAD. No doubt they have written procedures in place but if Saban says GFY when it's time to put it into place then the bean counters GFThemselves.

What have I been overly sunshine about?
