*****Official College Football Playoffs Games Thread******

5 in 9 years. Most dominant stretch in the history of college football. And many in our fanbase are happy. That’s just fugged up to me.
At this point each Bama title just waters down what they have accomplished. Just like when UCLA won 10 of 11 in basketball. Doesn’t make much of a difference if Bama won 4 of 9 or wins 7 of 10. Saban is the GOAT and the domination will continue until Saban retires. With each title Saban wins, the closer he is to retiring, and although I won’t rejoice when he wins, I won’t wallow in pity either. A first Georgia title in 40 years would have been significantly worse for Auburn IMO. Glad to have seen them lose, especially with Chubb and Sonny leaving. UGA will be good going forward, but there is only one team I trust implicitly year in year out: Bama with Saban. Georgia will not win it all under Smart. You heard it here first.

One team blew a 28-3 3rd quarter lead to lose what would have won their first ever SB.

One team blew a 10 point lead with 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter to lose what would have their 1st NC since 1980.

Most UGA fans I know are also Falcons fans. These two things happened within ~11 months of each other.
good they deserve it. UGA fans are trash that think they aren't. At least bammers know their place in this world. Great at football. Terrible at life.

I'm expecting my local DC morning newscaster to show up @dead in the coming weeks. He just said Bama won their 11th NC last night. He obviously doesn't know how to do Bama math. REC will no doubt eliminate him.

I've accepted that this is the most impressive run in CFB history because the ones pre-1980 or so were done when much fewer teams committed much to the idea of winning it all. This is 10x more impressive than the USC run we saw. Nobody is repeating this in my lifetime and he's got 3-8 years left on this run IMO. It's not going to end.

Somehow AU has a national title, 2 SEC titles and has won the West 3 times in that very same window despite having to go up against the most dominant, impressive dynasty in the history of the sport. I'm honestly not sure we would have looked sane asking for anything more than that when this started if you told us what he was going to build there. My only real complaint is that we didn't build the consistency that we could have, but we've had more success during his span in terms of actual hardware than we typically do in any other 10 year window and that's a bit shocking.

I’m not a West Champs banner guy. The ‘13 loss in the Natty going the other way and being a 2-3 loss team the other years and the truth you speak would make me feel better. As it stands, thank God for Cam is all I’ve got.

Kudos to ESPN not even mentioning trump once or putting a camera on him. I forgot he was even there

lol. It's to the point I don't even like our coach more on a personal level than Nick. In fact it's not that close.

The last couple of years he’s really made it easier to see the side of him that players and Moms and Dads love and have seen the whole time.

they'll get one I think, but it's not happening as soon as they think it will either. Their entire spin pregame was that they were going to be more talented in the next 2-3 years because of these recruiting classes and bama just beat them with guys that will be there for the next 2 years minimum. It's bad news for all of us honestly. Tua may make the bama offense interesting and high powered beyond just "we're gonna maul you and throw some deep balls".

I'm not a banner guy for it either, but its not nothing. I totally agree about our needing our down years to be more like 10 wins seasons and less like 7 win seasons. 100% that's a problem. But I still maintain that if you had told me in 2007 what he was about to do, the level that he would recruit not for one or two cycles but repeatedly year over year for a decade + and win 5 NC's I'd have said we were going to win nothing, play for nothing and basically have no good moments to show during that stretch. The fact that we won our first NC since 20 years before I was born and multiple SEC titles and have won 4 of 11 against them head to head (with 2 of the most memorable wins in SEC football history and finally got them by double digits in another) is still a bit stunning, despite the fact that we pretty much hired potatoes to be our HC's.

I enjoyed when he said that he was a Michael jackson fan during the media day. He can be pretty funny when he wants to be.

To his credit, he seems to have started enjoying himself a lot more. For a few years there I thought that despite their success he was generally a miserable human being who woke up the day after winning it all pissed off that he missed a few hours of recruiting due to media demands and was already poking holes in every system they had looking for something to rant about and fix. Now he looks like a man who is having some fun with his success while still being driven. Good for him I guess. Not that it makes watching their fans celebrate any easier.

I don’t know a lot of UGA fans that are Falcons fans but it makes sense if you wanna disparage the dawgs. At one point you were willing to give a guy years of benefit of the doubt for going 13-2 and blowing a Natty. Rrgardless, you acting like you’re unsure why people call you a Kirby hater and a Gus defender is laughable. You actually just posted something on the Boog board that leads me to believe you think blowing a 13 point lead is worse than blowing an 18 point lead. Oh dear.

Sound like a you issue and you make a lot of assumptions. No worries.
