I really wanted Mary to go out with Larry. Or for her to turn him down bc of the Fatwah.
If we’re talking about regurgitated Seinfeld ideas, Larry should embrace the Fatwah to pick up women kind of like that episode where George is the cool, dangerous guy and dates Elaine’s assistant.
The Fatwah thing is just getting on my nerves. The whole disguise every time he goes out is annoying
Leon is one of the best parts of the series, but I agree that the security guy needs to go. There was absolutely nothing funny about himThe only annoying parts are Leon and the new security guy.

pretty good episode last night gang. Hopefully Elizabeth Banks continues her role throughout the season. Her bits comparing her adopted cat to Suzy's "little sister" were great.
Bryan Cranston was great as expected. When Larry said to his wife "hope you enjoy truffle season" I laughed uncontrollably.Pretty good episode. Some stuff bothered me but it doesn’t feel nearly as forced as the first two episodes did. The random Muslim guy with a broken arm showing up and Larry yelling Fatwah though was a major eye roll.
I thought everyone was gonna find out Larry set up the kid with the prostitute once Marty started seeing the psychiatrist.
I thought the ending was weird with him just getting stuck with the bill for the chair since usually the ending ties every story together. I would’ve bumped that to earlier in the episode then have that new chair be some point of conflict/disturbance at the funeral.Bryan Cranston was great as expected. Yeah flow seemed off but the humor was pretty on point. I've definitely enjoyed the last 2 eps more than the first 2. Just a blessing to have it back after so long.I thought the ending was weird with him just getting stuck with the bill for the chair since usually the ending ties every story together. Looks like Jeff is buying a big shiny new house too just bc he was porking some real estate agent. No idea why that woman had interest in just a strictly sexual relationship with a fatso like Jeff. Wish we’d seen some scheme or something where her whole angle to pork married rich guys just so they buy houses from her or something. That doesn’t make too sense but it makes more sense than some super successful non actress that would wanna bone Jeff
Thought this episode was ridiculous gang. Worst one yet
Got caught up on the last couple. Ep 5 I thought was not good. I mean it had it's moments but the thing with the faces and then the PTSD, meh. This season is getting kind of painful gang
This last episode was just so lazy in how it resolved itself. The dirty car b story was completely pointless and the whole “purposeful accidental fake text” thing was just solved bc Suzy knew.Got caught up on the last couple. Ep 5 I thought was not good. Ep 6 was decent but not up to LDs high standards. A lot of it is feeling recycled but then I've watched every Seinfeld and Curb multiple times.
When he shoved the spritz girl was pretty great. I thought the honey part with Richard Lewis was good. Leon had his moments. This last episode was just so lazy in how it resolved itself. This season really has no greater story arc though. The Fatwah shit appears to be over. So it’s just sort of whatever until he just wants to use it again
I thought the spritz thing was funny but it was kind of out of character. Normally Larry would have argued with that woman about how to do her job. Just like he did with cookie lady at the hotel. But the whole thing was just a mechanism to get marty’s Gf to hate Larry some more. When he shoved the spritz girl was pretty great. I thought the honey part with Richard Lewis was good. Leon had his moments.
The eps definitely don’t come together like the great Seinfeld’s or Curbs of the past.
I think the show is fine but the long layoff between seasons caused them to lose a lot of behind the scenes talent so it doesn’t have the same continuity that it previously had. Kind of like what happened when Netflix picked up arrested development. A lot of the writers from that show are now producers on Modern Family and even the Russo Brothers were heavily influential in that show and they’re now directing Marvel movies.I watched the latest last night. I actually thought it was a better episode than most this season. Maybe not as good as I hoped for but better than 98% of sitcoms we have to choose from.
Anybody else watching SMILF or White Famous? They are semi entertaining to me as well.
Yeah that scene was really awkward. I don’t like how they feel the need to spell out Larry’s character. It’s like we know he’ll say anything that’s the whole show no shit. Still hits more than enough to be quality TV.The season has definitely had its moments but overall has been disappointing. Last weeks stuff with the Muslim council or whatever was totally cringey and this week’s whole sub plot with the woman that used to own the House was pretty bad too. Lin Manuel Miranda is awesome though. I legit laughed out loud when he said that the verses were gonna be “satanic.”
Yeah. Even though Cheryl isn’t that funny, she was the perfect foil for Larry bc she prevented him from being “Larry” and his struggle to maneuver around that was always funnier than him just being an asshole. Bc then, you sympathized him and you don’t anymore.Yeah that scene was really awkward. I don’t like how they feel the need to spell out Larry’s character.
