I tried to keep it going over here early in the season but no one else was around. I'll be at the game tomorrow so probably won't be online during the game, but would be happy to see this place be revived for hoops discussions.

What's the mood at on3 after this shit show with hoke trying to convince everyone Bruce was about to leave? Several folks on the bunker said they were banned for disagreeing with hoke. Seems like this would be a great time to try and revive this bastion of rationality.

Completely fair. I contemplated giving Rivals $10 just to send you a message. We need your complete, unadulterated thoughts on this boog team. Obviously #1 in the land, but where can they improve? Are we cutting down the nets?
We back bro. There were a few that got pretty hot about it lol. Personally I’m skeptical we get BRUCE all squared away by Friday evening without a little fan uproar so doesn’t bother me if he manufactured some of that story.
really weird season because computer dorks and eye test do NOT match up, aside from our Boogs… I think our efficiency numbers are pretty spot on to what I actually see, but nobody else’s are - and I’m still trying to figure out if that’s good for us or not
I think it’s a good thing - but idk… we’re so far ahead of where we need to be to compete for a title I’m not even worried about whether or not we’re good enough to make a run… it’s a question of how many other teams will match us, and if we have a chance to ascend so far above everyone else it would be an upset if we don’t win it
there’s a chance that we’re steamrolling teams with our B/B- game and we’ve got 6 weeks to improve our little flaws and pull away from the pack… there’s also a chance these teams with great dorkalytics actually clean things up and start playing games that aesthetically match the numbers and we’re just 1 of a dozen teams with a legit shot
the Boog in me is keeping things in perspective - but I really think the team we put on the court 6 weeks from now will delittle the team we’re putting on the court currently
we waste SO. MANY. transition opportunities just from unfamiliarity with each other - guys running to the same spot, bad spacing, not understanding who’s pushing the ball and who’s running with them… of our 4 primary ball handlers who push and create the opportunities to really allow for us to Boog teams off the court, 3 are transfers and 1 didn’t play til December… they’ve had a month of actual time playing together, and they barely have a clue what they’re doing together right now… they WANT to run - they SENSE the opportunities for knock out blows - the execution is just horrendous in that aspect though, right now
it’s not a lack of killer instinct per se, they have the instinct and they go for the throat, they’re just not good at it right now
that’s the only thing that will derail this team… if it’s a fatal flaw - if we never get that Jared/Bryce familiarity where Jared knows everyone so well he’s pushing the ball full speed up the court and waving Malik to push down from the wing to the corner to space the floor for Bryce trailing to get to the wing Malik just vacated - if we don’t get there, that will be what bites us
if Wen and KD figure out that part - no one can touch us over 40 minutes… and we’ve got 6 weeks for them to figure it out

Hoke ain’t nothing but a suit & there’s another guy that corches or has corched some huthut . I’m still gonna read that HYG thread yesterday but sorry I ain’t liking or replying. I can get anything I need here. Still have access to tbb, but hardly ever look.
‘EA’ right here. That squad had so much chemistry on the court. This squad clearly got it in the locker room but still plenty of room for improvement. Guys still learning each other’s games. AL working himself up to speed and figuring out his role.
The talent is off the charts and then you got a guy like KD who simply will not let us lose a game. Shame we couldn’t pull out the dub against UCONN what he did to keep us in it was insane. Everytime we’ve been in an oh shit we might lose scenario he just wills us to the dub.
A couple nice developments Devan figuring out he can boss the offensive glass and Walker hitting a couple 3 against OK. If Walker can start dragging guys like Tshebwe or the like out the paint could open things up even more for us.

we’re much better now than we were at this point in 2019, but we’re not as good as we were by the time we bludgeoned UT, Kansas, and UNC
BRUCE’s teams always get better in February and March, and my working theory is it’s because he embraces the chaos and let’s them play through mistakes… we’re winning games while still making a dozen mistakes a game just from going too hard and too fast… what happens when we finally break through the wall and not only stop making those mistakes, but turn them from a strength to a weakness?
so that’s all I care about now… I want to keep stacking dubs because winning is a habit, and for e-persona trolling purposes - but more than that, I just want to see guys running and converting in transition because they’re no longer thinking and it’s becoming second nature
If we can get anywhere on the same planet as that squad in transition it’s a wrap. Kessler got the volleyball blocks down to another level. Jabari def has the ability but not Chuma in terms of all around D and starting the break. Of course KD a one man steal and coast to coast bucket. Zep and especially Wen got what it takes to push it. Get our wings finding their spots a little more we can get pretty close.

As On3 continues its deep sink into full-blown AIDS, the importance of the revitalization of the Greg seems more important than ever. I know a few, but what are everyone’s handles over there? Perhaps there are a few we could invite to the Greg to help with the numbers over here.
