I probably wouldn’t right now either. I would think they would see if he was interested thoughI don't see him leaving Oregon for Miami.

He can easily get out of that LOI and sign somewhere in February if he wants. Not that big of a deal for him
He can get out of it if he wants to just like Kam martin got out of his with Baylor and signed with the boogs. I really think all he'd have to do is request the school to mutually nullify it and he'd be good to go. I'd imagine most schools don't wanna come across as giant a holes in a situation like this and then risk having it smeared all through the media if kids decided to appeal to the ncaa.I asked this question on the, but haven't gotten any legit answer?
Can he, or any other signees?

Then think about it as the same as that Garrison Brooks b-ball kid that the Boogs were recruiting. Signed with Miss st then got out of it bc Miss St didn’t wanna come across like ass holes to future recruits. I guarantee he can get out of it if he wants. Schools don’t want that bad PR over just one playerMaybe, but Kam's situation with Briles and Asa with Richt are nothing alike.
The NCAA stepped in and said all signees could leave if they wanted because of why Briles was fired
Oregon has some world class golf out there. Then again FL isn’t too shabby and can play year round. I’d be torn.
I don’t think Miami has the scratch to get this dude. Maybe Gus can get in the picture?
lots of chatter that Dana Holgerson is gonna ditch West Virginia and take the Houston job. West Virginia honestly would be the perfect landing spot for hick ass Gus. don't think it'll happen but that's easily the best hopeI don’t think Miami has the scratch to get this dude. one last challenge for the GOAT would be amazingSaban can take the WVU job as his retirement job to bring a natty to his home state
Pete Carroll was a long time pro coach before taking over USC. That's the only one I can think of that really came in and dominatedDon’t get the Rex Ryan thought process. Don’t really know of any long time pro coaches being successful at the college level. JH been at Michigan how many years and got whacked by SCar last year and Fla this year and lost to OSU every year and he’s a better fit than Rex for college iyam. Same thing as when Gruden would get a mention everytime an opening occurred. It takes a certain type of coach to be able to run a college program.
Well he was running one of the dirtier enterprises in the history of CFB tooPete Carroll was a long time pro coach before taking over USC. That's the only one I can think of that really came in and dominated

As first reported by @Slippin JimmyMiami just hired Manny Diaz
I’ll chime in here & say it’s all about the fit. Two entirely different positions & opportunities for a good coach to step in & make a program great. Also one is in a big city setup & the other not. The Canes are no big deal in a city with so many different types of interests & backgrounds. Oregon’s program I would think is about the only show in town.Wait, you guys really think Miami is a better job than Oregon? I get the recruiting ground is better in south fl but Miami seems to do a better job than Auburn at bei its own worst enemy.
It's certainly not a given that Miami is a better job than Oregon right now. I'd stay in Eugene if the money was the same, which it likely would be. Cost of living for starters makes you a richer man in Oregon than in Miami. Nike makes everything better for them. Their facilities are absolutely ridiculous and I'd say the exact opposite about Miami.Phil Knight and that fanbase sure put a lot of effort into making Dodd’s last opinion hard to agree with for me.
Liked for the The Wire reference.Miami just made a big commitment to facilities that even Mark Richt donated a million of his salary towards. They won't scratch Oregon's ever, but I don't think they really need to. They just need to be adequate. The great thing about being the coach at Miami is that you can totally fluff your recruiting board and still wind up with great players. It's like what omar says to brother mazzone, "even if I miss I can't miss." There's just so much talent there that programs like UCF and USF are now actual powers even with Miami constantly still putting out tons of draft picks. At oregon, you gotta land your top guys or you're left with offering last minute scrubs. At miami, the last minute dudes are just still crazy good. Get a dude that can develop the talent and also embrace the old culture (kind of like how Pete Carroll embraced the LA celebrity scene) and you could have the old miami back easily imo.
As first reported by @Fillup Marschell (1$ to @Slippin Jimmy)Welp looks like Rich Rod is gonna be a coach in the SEC after all these years. Guess I gotta hate Ole Miss now
