as first reported by Harvey Specter... keep up the great work Harv

I won’t pretend to know anything about how it went down or what it all means... Friday night at 10 pm is a weird time to announce it, so I’d guess some fvckery transpired

regardless - have fun looking over your shoulder the next 5 months Gus

Definitely needed to happen. He was just a terrible fit after looking back it all now.
I'm wondering, after all we know now, how he was even hired? From the weird airplane thing at ISU, how he and his wife treated people like trash, to him getting g in a pissing co test with Bruce just bc Bruce would t kiss the ring...I Mena he wanted to fire Bruce just bc if his ego and not bc he had the best intentions for AU on his mind. And then the biggest rid all...his contract "negotiating skills" that led to the 49 mill buyout if Gus....
I mean did ANYONE at Auburn vet the guy before he was hired? Ppl Don just suddenly become like that. How was he even considered?

I don’t know the in and outs exactly, but do know a big selling point of his was that he could help shake things up which the committee was in favor of. Auburn is very entrenched in its ways and he was supposed to be able to help with that. Everybody was tired of Gogue because he just let things stay as is for way too long.

So while I take with a grain of salt some of the reports about “faculty not liking him” because that was to be expected, and a lot of Auburn people were going to hate anything different.

But I think overall he lost all sight of how change can be implemented by persuasion and reason, as opposed to using bullying and arrogance to try and accomplish it.

So I think the hiring people had the right idea, but clearly chose the wrong guy

Leath was dumb enough to side with Gus and against Bruce. That is cause for termination all by itself

Well put. “Gogue” had become synonymous with institutional meh. I embraced the idea of an outsider to shake things up, but sized Leath up as an arrogant overconfident ass the first time I shook his dead fish hand.

This will be no different from players leaving. They get trashed and their secrets come out. You’ll now hear how close it came to being the end for Bruce. And his “trashing” will be well deserved.

This is....so accurate. I tried to give the guy a piece of advice about Auburn when he first got here and he looked at me like I was an idiot and gave me the fakest smile I've ever seen. He just made enemies everywhere he went here. My guess is this is a death by a thousand cuts kinda deal rather than him ****ing an intern.
