So someone took a bunch of Grateful Dead jams from May 1977 and weaved them together. Check it out.
The whole "Renegades" album was great. Wish we had some contemporary acts making music of this caliber.
been listening to some Rage lately. My god, forgot how much I loved their cover of Maggie's Farm
really hard for me to think of a cover song that accentuates the orginal more than Maggie's Farm. my god, did Rage just capture and enhance the anger from the Dylan version. It's just fuggin perfectThe whole "Renegades" album was great. Wish we had some contemporary acts making music of this caliber.
I agree. Most covers seem lesser. I do think Johnny Cash was excellent on "Hurt" (although I still prefer the original NIN version, but NIN is perhaps my favorite act). Postmodern Jukebox also does some very good covers. I especially liked their version of Bowie's "Heroes" with Nicole Atkins.really hard for me to think of a cover song that accentuates the orginal more than Maggie's Farm. my god, did Rage just capture and enhance the anger from the Dylan version. Here’s a solid Dylan cover, if you’re into that sort of thing.I agree. Most covers seem lesser. I do think Johnny Cash was excellent on "Hurt" (although I still prefer the original NIN version, but NIN is perhaps my favorite act). Postmodern Jukebox also does some very good covers.
