The idea of a mid-career guy like Chad taking an infinite hour job in a football program is almost laughable. He probably works 30 hours a week at this gig for real.
I was going to add something similar to this earlier but was on mobile. You wouldn't believe the number of hours I worked as a high school football coach, and I can only imagine that is 10 fold as a college coach. Those low level entry positions are super tough and they have a low success rate to leading to become a big-time college coach. Obviously getting a job making millions a year would make it worth it for some people, but some families aren't cut out for it. My wife could barely handle me being a high school coach, there is no way she would have put up with the college hours. Either she would have made me quit or I would be divorced.
