The key to this is how much schadenfreude is worth and losing the one really all around good football thing we have had in the past 60 years.

In the first scenario you gain our only 3 basketball titles, but lose a football MNC and your rival keeps their path going.

In the second scenario, you are doing very good by Auburn standards in basketball but missing the big burrito. But Alabama gets destroyed, beyond recognition, which could benefit in the long run.

I’m still taking whatever keeps BRUCE here the longest over anything else

football is dead to me, it’s been dead since 2004... CAM revived it temporarily and I’m forever grateful for that season... but if BRUCE stays and keeps things rolling for another 8+ years - that cumulative joy will be worth more than the entire history of Auburn football to me

I’ve been one of like 7 people in the entire state of Alabama who have liked basketball more than football for the past 20 years... I’m not giving up shit to lose the single greatest corch we’ve ever had in any sport

At my core I enjoy being good at hoops more than football. This state essentially forced me to care more about football, but that can change quickly.

Give me the options with Bruce and titles in hoops. It’s a more fun sport to follow. Games are only 2 hrs instead of 5. The Clam is 10x the venue JHS is when things are going well.
