When I close my eyes and dream about AU hoops this is the youngster that comes to mind. Bryce strokes a deep 3, the Clam is rocking. Force a couple TOs and Bryce strokes a couple more 3 balls in the matter of 30 secs. “The Sandman” has done it again with that sexy J and turned the lights out on our opponent with incredible quickness.

Another stunner in the looks department, Bryce possesses one of the sweetest strokes in the game. When someone says our only missing piece is a honky that can stroke that’s Bryce. Only difference is this youngster also has insane hops and athleticism to match that gorgeous J.

Strengths: Absolutely one of the purest strokes in the game. Shot 58% from 3 the last 2 months of the season. Insane athleticism, quickness, hops. All the tools to be a high level SEC defensive player.

Weaknesses: Runs too hot and cold. Doesn’t seem to embrace being a role player. Mediocre at best handle that relegates him to strictly a perimeter player.

Contribution: First offensive weapon off the bench. Perfect 6th man “microwave” if he can continue his play from down the stretch last year. Not gonna pass Mustapha at 2 but if he could handle and finish could legitimately be a next level player.

The GREG Ranking: #8

As smooth as a piece of chocolate silk pie. Delicious.

I think I had him ranked a bit higher. He handled the ball decently towards the end of last season and had some successful penetrating drives to the basket. I expect that role to expand more this season since the team will be without Dunnans and probably Purifoy as well

Yeah he did show that a bit late last year. Had some nice assists as well. So tough to rank these guys. Being behind Mustapha was a part of it but having him out there with Staph could be one of our stronger lineups.

Sure did. Led the team in scoring. Total stroke show. The youngster may be taking his game to the next level.
I think we need him out there more often than not, especially if Danjel is out. Either PG along with Bryce, Mustapha, Horace and Mack and we could have the dirtiest full court press since BRUCE was corching a young Wayne Chism. I love our athleticism. Hate to see AUSTIN not getting a second year under BRUCE, but it could be the best thing for our team. Fast, long, athletic bigs are much tougher to handle in college ball IMO and we have a couple with a lot of potential.

BRYCE needs to find his stroke early in the season, and he may have a really damn fine year. Just gotta keep him confident.

I had him 6th... he could easily jump to 4 or 5, and I think 8 is the absolute floor for him

I expect big things from him, and - depending on the whole FBI fiasco - he’s probably the 2nd biggest wildcard on the team (I think Chuma is the clear #1 there)...

if Bryce shoots consistently:
1 - he stays engaged defensively and is a real weapon in the halfcourt defense
2 - he spreads the floor for Heron and Wiley, which will be huge depending on Danjel’s status
3 - he becomes appropriately aggressive offensively, and will drive while looking to pass... he’s not the playmaker he thinks he is, but he’s far better than given credit for, and he’s athletic enough to get into the paint against good competition... when his shots not falling he just floats on the perimeter and shuts down his penetration
4 - the team feeds off his energy... Bryce and Horace seem to be the 2 most emotional guys on the team

the last one is big... Mustapha, Austin, Jared, Danjel, Mac - not exactly the most aggressive and outgoing group... it could have been because they were freshmen last year and didn’t want to rock the boat and will begin to assert themselves more - but none of them scream “extrovert” to me... Bryce is a borderline lunatic - but toes the line better than Horace

he won’t shoot 58% from 3 all year, but he could easily shoot in the high 40’s and flirt with 50% for the season... and if he does, and we’re throwing Davion, Bryce, Malik, Desean, Horace/Mac out there as a 2nd unit - we will get. in. someones. ass. for the first time in a LONG time

Excellent. His potential as a scorer and defender is possibly the highest on the team. Struggled with this ranking as much as any. There was some scuttlebutt with Mustapha wanting to play strictly the 2. Which I don't really get because the 2 and 3 are basically interchangeable on O. Hope to see these 2 on the floor a lot together but I wonder how many mins he can get with Mustapha needing more than everyone.

We iz SO MUCH betta when BROWN IZ STROKING!!!! I don't rememba hiz azz hittin a "3" ALL lazt seazun. Hiz Freshman yeer, he wuz like REGGIE MILLLLAZ AZZ out thare.
Brown had a good summer and will likely benefit frum Purifoy being out.
He playz deeefentz which iz big on dis teem beeekuzz we only gotta coupla dat do dat. If heeeeeeez "ON", hiz azz neeedz to be on da floor!!

Good Bryce is phenomenal, bad Bryce makes me shout obscenities at my TV. I've always been annoyed by guard who don't finish well, which is probably why I had him ranked last. However, if he cuts down on errors, continues to give great effort on D, and doesn't have another shooting slump like last year he could be huge for this team.

Seems like his defense picked up last year and will be needed this year. Need that player for the press like white on Bryce. I think 8 is a good spot for him. Nicely done.

"White on Bryce" is now trademarked by me so if you gank my ish I will have you permabanded from all forums and take you to the bank.

Nice breakdown Fatz. I can’t wait to see this team on the court. We play with a lot more fire when Bryce is knocking down shots. He was very frustrating at times last year, but he looked really good majority of the last half of the season.

Best thread I've seen in many moons. The key for young BRYCE is making one three. He should shoot every time down the floor until he hits one. Once he sees the ball go in he's like a different person and can really shut down the opponent's best scoring threat as long as he's engaged.

Don't beat yourself up. I told @Fatz Geronimo after the 2010 A-Day that Trotter was better than Cam. I literally thought an insurance salesman was better than the one of the greatest players in college football history.

but you nailed Keihl Frazier, when I was too smitten by his chiseled features and school boy cardigan *swoon* to hear the cold, hard truth you were trying to deliver - so let’s call it even

I still blame that one on Gus and Loeffler though, and will take it to my grave

Bryce might be the key to this season staying on its current path. If he can avoid any significant shooting woes, he will be the catalyst for this team, and I think big things can happen for this team.

I was sitting with Hoover coaches at the 7 on 7 and they were laughing at Frazier. They were like....."our 9th grade 3rd stringer is better than this asswipe". I felt so deflated as an Auburn fan that day.

I can't even watch reruns of cheers that has Frazier Crane In the episode, because it makes me think of Kiehl. Not only did Kiehl ruin a great college football program, but he also ruined one of the greatest sitcoms of all time.
