I loved watching the show but for some reason I can't find the effort or desire to push through a rewatch. I can't pinpoint the reason, but Westworld kind of lacks the rewatchability that some other shows do for me. I'm sure I'd pick up on some new things but I already felt the show was kind of "repetitious" so a rewatch can be even more tedious. Whatever. Venting. But I'm super stoked for season 2 thoughI’m a bigger fan of the music than the show but I’m considering rewatching Season 1 and seeing if I can’t get on board.
Have watched it thrice all the way through. Nothing matches the first time but I will tell you the third time was awesome. I'm guessing it was partly because it had been so long since watching the first time.I loved watching the show but for some reason I can't find the effort or desire to push through a rewatch. It is so amazing but you fvcked yoreself watching the finale first. Thoroughly fvcked.so, I was streaming it on Kodi and the first episode was uploaded incorrectly and I ended up watching the season finale first...
I knew enough about the show going in that I wasn’t completely lost but halfway in was thinking - this is odd... kept with it and finally realized about 10 minutes left that it was the finale
I was too bummed to go back and watch it all, but I’m guessing from what you guys have said that there’s enough rewatchability that I will still enjoy the full season?
I think the production value and the music are the coolest parts of the show.so, I was streaming it on Kodi and the first episode was uploaded incorrectly and I ended up watching the season finale first...

Yeah. Her arc was a little too much for me. Just how easy it was for her to gain consciousness and also how stupidly helpless those two “butchers” were that she manipulatedI can’t stand the black chick on the show. That goes back to everything she in though. Just not a fan.
Hoping she gets offed pretty quickly in S2.
Very Tori Amos Esq
Watched it this am, maybe multiple times. Absolutely classic.WESTWORLD SEASON 2 SPOILERS: REDDIT VIDEO FROM CREATORS IS AN ELABORATE RICKROLL HOAX
Well, that's a choice.

Pumped!Watched it this am, maybe multiple times. Absolutely classic.
I hope it's not a let down because I haven't been this excited about a second season of a show in a very long time.Pumped!

I thought the plot got a bit tedious. But I also agree with the show runner, Jonathan Bolan, that having a show go “viral” like Westworld, True Detective, etc is both a blessing and a curse. It gets people watching and talking which is awesome. But he said you can’t outsmart the entire internet community so eventually someone guesses everything right and can spoil it for a bunch of people. I think that’s what happened to me. Read too many theories on reddit and eventually everything sort of became too predictable
The Internet forums and podcasts on TV shows have made life impossible for writers IMO. It's also the worst way to obsess over a show for me. I went down the wormhole on True Detective and it made the process of watching the show worse in the end. It's just too much. Put a few million minds on something and they'll figure out every conceivable angle and ruin the ending of anything I think. It becomes a game where everyone wants to beat the writers and prove to be smarter than anyone else. And then writers have to get too cute to try to keep reddit from figuring everything out.
I personally like the traditional format better. The conversation between episodes is a lot of fun to me. And it builds a lot of excitement. Plus, everyone is mostly on the same page. No need to be cautious with people about spoilers and shit. The way netflix will just dump a season at a time makes it better imo. You can just binge it all at one time.
HoC subreddit was actually pretty good imo. The individual episode discussion threads at least.I personally like the traditional format better. It’s annoying watching a whole season of house of cards or something and not having a place to talk about it. The Netflix show subreddits are always dead.
Both have their pros and cons

But agree the state of the sub as a whole is far less fun. Breaking Bad's was wild when it was airing.
So glad we got some male full frontal nudity in episode one
I could be wrong, but I feel like the Maeve storyline is gonna be really predictable. She's just gonna wander around all the different worlds in search for her daughter. Then when she finds her, the daughter won't recognize her one bit and will have tons of affection for her "new" mother and family. Thus Maeve will be conflicted on how she then handles the situation. Forcefully takes her daughter from her new home in hopes of getting her to remember her past or to let her remain happy with her family? My guess is she leaves her where she finds her and then possibly decides to clone her or something.
As for Bernard, curious as to when he actually really picks a side and reveals to everyone that he's a host or not. Eventually someone is gonna find out.
Man in Black/William will wind up in a showdown with Teddy and kill him. Maybe William will force Dolores to make a choice. Does she want Teddy? Or does she want a chance to see the outside world and William is the only person who can give that to her.
It’ll be interesting to see how they develop these robot characters. In the most realistic sense (to me), all the AI that just gained consciousness should be really emotionally immature right now. It’ll be interesting to see if they eventually gain the ability to feel sympathy or empathy or if they’re always just gonna be full of rage. Bc right now they’re just super powered babies except for Bernard.I generally like the Maeve character, but hope they don't spend too much time on her because I do agree if feels a bit predictable and basic. Other than that small complaint I'm good.
For whatever reason I'm less "where is this going" obsessed with this show. I love the concept, the idea of us creating an alternate world we can "vacation" in with these hosts who eventually gain some level of consciousness. It's a better play than the other "machines take over the world" stuff I've seen. It's beautifully shot and acted. And since we're only in season 2 I'm not to the point where I feel a need for closure of any kind with any character. I can watch this without much worry about where it's all going or how they are going to tie up this story or that. Just enjoying it on a basic level.
