*** Boogs v UNC Asheville ***

Looking into the MITS crystal ball right now, and I see Mac going off again from the 3 in this game. Also Doughty gets back on track a bit and gets into double digits

Game day boner heads.

Didn't realize how trash unc ashville was. Guess I thought they were decent just because of the unc in front of their name, but this squad is 1-6 and got ram rodded by future Boog victims NC St.

Guessing Doughty gets some serious minutes at the PG spot again tonight. Maybe like the whole second half if things go as planned

From Blake Lovell

UNC Asheville (1-6) at No. 8 Auburn (6-1) – 8 p.m. EST, SEC Network

Auburn returns to action following a 50-point drubbing of Saint Peter’s last week, and it’s clear that Bruce Pearl’s team has enough firepower to capture another SEC title.

The Tigers are ranked 10th nationally in both offensive and defensive efficiency, and they continue to dominate the glass on offense with 17.0 offensive rebounds per game (second nationally) and a 40.7 offensive rebounding percentage (fifth nationally).

That’s not an ideal setup for a UNC Asheville squad that is in rebuilding mode under first-year head coach Mike Morrell.

Another big problem? UNC Asheville is currently last nationally in turnover percentage (29.9 percent) while committing 18.7 turnovers per game (349th nationally).

With Auburn’s ability to turn defense into offense, this could be a major struggle for the Bulldogs.

Prediction: Auburn 88, UNC Asheville 50

Vegas trying to put a halt to this gravy train setting the line at 37.5. Still, Boogs by 40+.

hmm... I see 35.5 out there, don’t wanna get backdoor chAUlkied, but I’d still have to go with the Boogs

just waiting to see if the team totals come out... with the 139-140ish total, that comes out to around 87/88 to 51/52 for the team totals... anything 88.5 or below is getting blitzkrieged

Go ahead and link Blake, I like to give him clicks for support

Dear God this is gonna be a bludgeoning the way Bruce is corching our HYGs to show no mercy. I mean we could very well win this one by 70. I expect our chaulk to extend whatever lead they come in with the last 5 mins or whatever.

Assville is just absolutely dreadful on offense. Point totals so far this year: 87 (against NAIA team), 49, 50, 52, 38, 51, 70.

They rank 340 in adjusted offensive efficiency (out of 353). Ranked dead last in turnover %, 247th in offensive rebounding %, dead last in offensive steal %, and 329th in effective FG %. And they play slow (347th in average length of possession). So can't pass, shoot or rebound, and turn the ball over more than anybody else in D-1 despite trying to slow the game down.

Devin Baker, frosh PG, takes 38.4% of their shots when on the court (8th highest % in D-1), yet shoots at only a 38% clip, and only 16% from 3. He has a Kenpom offensive rating that would rank between Will Macoy and Cole Blackstock.

Okay, okay, we get it @Van Gorstache, these guys suck on offense. But what about when the boogs have the ball, surely they'll play hard and put up a fight on the defensive glass? Nope. Dead f'ing last in giving up offensive rebounds. And 338th in 2PT FG% (i.e., lots of dunks).

Look for Mac and Ho Daddy to delittle these fools, and for lots of dunks in transition from steals on sloppy passing. Look for boogs to cover the 35.5 in the first half. And it won't even be reliant on the threes falling. If they do, @Harvey Specter may be called out the stands to get some time on the chaulk line.

Mere mins from Boog hoops gang. What a blessing as the huthut program falls further into oblivion.

Wonder if Jvon is gonna play tonight. Didn’t think Samir looked great in the last contest but his #s were ok. Wouldn’t mind seeing him get some more run at point.

Playing like ass tonight. Will still win by 30 but these guys look dead.

Might be tough to win by 70 at this point. Horace gonna come in and rain a 3 get us back on track for the cover.
