****** Official Bama vs Boogs Game Thread ******

Coin flip game for me. They are better than us but banged up at key spots and we get them at home. I can't see either offense doing a ton vs these front 7's, even with their injuries at LB (it seems they are trying to replace the white boy with Dylan Moses by quickly training him to take the MLB role, which means more talent at that spot but less experience and know how). I think it simply comes down to who makes the timely plays. When we blow containment or a coverage do they hit it? When we've got a solid chance at a conversion do we make it or does Stidham get quick feet before he sees it? Who screws up the most in regards to turnovers and mistakes?

I just don't have much faith in Gus and I think our mistakes on special teams finally cost us a game in a very obvious and dramatic way. Boogs 20, Saban U 30. We get within a FG in the middle of the 4th and then they return the kickoff 80 yards and punch it in.

So I haven't really SEENT($1 to doc) anything definite on it, is Holland hurt?

I believe he’ll be ready to play. Think they’re just keeping it quiet, but he’ll be out there. Tre Williams and Dinson are my main concerns. Dinson has to get approved because of the concussion and Williams is hurt badly in his shoulder. He can play through it but at some point it starts to affect his play

I find myself a little sour over that stat. Hopefully the young studs gets us a couple long TDs tomorrow though.
Yeah. There have been at least 3 screens that have been for TDs though from 40 plus I believe. Still a pretty wild number though

Yep. Even the Wildcat is pretty successful when it’s not run in the red zone. Might as well stick with our bread butter and try to score from the 40
The wildcat works well inside the ten. I hate when they use it outside the red zone because it slows down the tempo

Against good teams? I’m just going off memory but feels like it struggled hard against LSU inside the 10. And I don’t remember it working in the Red Zone against UGA but also don’t remember if we ran it much.

I’m not sure AU even got in the red zone against LSU in the second half so I’m not sure what your point is. And if they used it against them in the first half there, then I’m guessing it was effective but I can’t remember.

We score TDs when we’re launching it downfield and dialing up ball plays that get guys wide open. Still much to be desired when it comes time to hitting passes in tight spaces. Feel like we’ll need to do that against bama.

Just wanna point out that @jeramye is boogin’ hard on Twitter. THERE GOES DAVIS!!!

If there is ever a week to Boog it up, it's Iron Bowl week when both teams are in the Top 10. I've been Booging strong offline because the bammers I know are so easily triggered when it looks like we might have a chance to screw up their season.

No hating here. I dig it.
