I imagine Gene Loblaw is shaking his fist at that slight.

Exactly. Little mix of both with the potential to be one of the best guards in the league. If we get SBJ back and this guy on board, just damn.with his shooting he replaces some of Bryce. With his swagger and thunder dunks he replaces some of Malik. This seems like a good get IMO.
Normally I don’t have “sources” for this kinda situation, but regardless of what anyone else says on here, take this to the bank:
*Jared WILL be back next year AND this kid is coming to AUBURN.
Three of my clients are CLOSE relatives of both parties involved. It is a done deal.
@L I G E R dropped this large nugget on tbb....
You should be VERY skeptical, tbh.Color me skeptical of Jared but if that’s true I’ll be driving up from Pensacola a lot next year.

Damnit. I was afraid that might be the case, thus I decided to bring it here to see if you would expound. You should be VERY skeptical, tbh.

Is his agent in the REC?I have heard from a friend who is a big booster that Jared’s dad is telling him to come back but SBJ is listening to someone else right now, presumably the agent.

If I was Jared's dad I would say the same thing.
As much as I’d like him back, I’d be on the other side of the argument. He’s not going to get any bigger and that’s the big issue scouts have. Start making your money while you can, even if it’s overseas. For me, it’s giving away a years worth of earning potential. I don’t think another year of playing free ball will increase what he can make this time next year.
Haha, that was terribly worded by me. I actually meant that I would be telling AU fans that I was telling him to come back when I really wasn't.
NiiiicccceeeMarcello is saying AU likes its chances with Tucker. Big visit coming up this weekend. Fully confident BRUCE will lock him up.

Just don't see why Jared would come back and don't see why Bruce would try to talk him into staying. From a recruiting stand point kids want to see they can come to a program and move to the next step. Next man up bruh (that'd be you Mr. Cooper)Honestly gents, I would be somewhat surprised if we don’t have either SBJ or SHARRIFE playing PG for the 2019-2020 season. Just think that Bruce will get Jared to return or will get Cooper to reclassify despite what most people are saying regarding those situations. Bruce will have a plan.
I agree with this. From Jerry Meyer within the last hour in a basketball chat on Cooper:
"What I am hearing is reclassifying to 2019 and going to Auburn."

He added some comments later that to me insinuated:Jared isn’t coming back. No way now.
I think people are too readily dismissing the value to Jared of returning to college. You can certainly make an argument that his draft stock won't get any higher so he might as well leave. However, his draft stock is a lot higher this year than it was last year and he didn't get any taller. If he came back and further improved his 3 point % to over 40% (doable, he already improved from 34% to 37%) and he develops a mid range jumper all while continuing to show out on a big stage, his draft stock would improve. He's not going to be a first round pick regardless, but he could potentially be safely into the 2nd round whereas now the odds are low he will be picked at all. You can also argue that he's better off going ahead and getting paid something somewhere to play ball. On the other side of that, how much is becoming an All-American worth? Its hard to put a dollar figure on it, but having that title the rest of your life is a huge deal and does increase your earning potential during your post playing days if you are still in the basketball world.Just don't see why Jared would come back and don't see why Bruce would try to talk him into staying. Harper leaves, insert SHARIFE in 2019.
Harper stays, insert SHARIFE in 2020.
Either way, things look to be pointing to elite PG play for the foreseeable future.

Recruiting expert would be surprised if Sharife Cooper ‘doesn’t pick Auburn’
Auburn may overcome Kentucky for this elite guard.

The Kentucky Wildcats have been going all-in on 2020 point guard prospect Sharife Cooper. Cal and the Kentucky staff have made it clear that they want Cooper to be the guy at the helm of the Wildcats next season.
The only catch is, the Wildcats will have to beat out the Auburn Tigers for Cooper’s services. Rivals analyst Corey Evans said that he would be “surprised if Cooper didn’t pick Auburn.”
Cooper’s high school teammate Isaac Okoro will be heading to Auburn this fall, so be prepared for some teammate recruiting from Okoro.
Evans also spoke on B.J Boston, another recruit being heavily targeted by Kentucky. Auburn is also in the top four for Boston, though Evans said they’re trailing the likes of Kentucky, Duke, and Florida.
Cooper is the 18th overall prospect for next years class and is considered the 3rd overall point guard. The Kentucky staff wanted to get a commitment from him back in late January, after Kentucky had just knocked off Auburn in Auburn, but Cooper opted to wait and take things slow.
It seems that Auburn in basketball is much like Kentucky in football, riding the highs of a great season and capitalizing on the recruiting trail. Bruce Pearl has done a hell of a job.
And I don’t think the statement “Bruce has done a hell of a job” quite encapsulates exactly how awesome a job he has done.Except Pearl is going to land 5 stars and gold.

this kid's passing game is so fuggin ridiculous. Also has a sweeter in the lane floater as well. Plus a ridic step back James Harden esque 3 in there. Cooper throwing lobs to Rayjon Tucker and Okoro will be back memories of that 99 team when it was lob city
Good lord he’s unreal
