this stud had a great weekend at the Nike EYBL event. Bruce and crew have been giving him love. The HYGs Final 4 run was exciting and he loves how the team plays, Closes with saying his recruitment is still "wide open" which of course means he's coming to AU to fulfill his life's dream to boog as a HYG
Reminds me of a time when Luper and Trooper would give some info about kids and our "insiders" who had contact with those coaches would run with it and then get torched 3 months later. Those 2 guys could recruit but they often exaggerated their ability too. I wonder if someone on the staff has gotten a little overconfident and isn't really reading the landscape all that well right now. Or some of these insiders are just hearing nuggets and getting caught up in the excitement and don't understand that "leading" for a Jared Harper or Chuma type might not work out the same as leading for a Top Ten ranked kid. The game changes at that level.
I believe we're going to be better in recruiting than we've been, but I'm hesitant to believe we're gonna put a Fab Five type of class together because that just seems like a stretch even for Bruce.
