Only two days away gang.

Happy to get the official game threads rolling again even though we’re all a bit meh on the potential of success for this upcoming season.

Still though, will be nice to have some Boog sports back on the tube to hold over till the HYGs take the court.

Things to look forward too:
Couple of all Americans on the defensive line and some other potential high draft picks on the defense. Even if it’s in vain and for an L, seeing Kevin’s developmental masterwork is always appreciated.

Seth Williams and Anthony Schwartz are fun to watch. Hoping Boobee proves to be one the conference’s best backs too this season

Of course we all want to see Bo Nic succeed. Got an uphill battle with Zahn calling the plays, but maybe this child posses enough moxy and improvisational wizardry to overcome the Head Boog in Chief’s stupidity.

A win will get people cautiously excited. As this is a quality Oregon team. A loss would begin the annual stoking of the hot seat flames. Either way, lots to look forward too.

they were a different team when 1 OL went out. I'm not sure how to explain that but all their stats flipped and their performance wasn't even in the same zip code. I still don't know if they are great/elite or just kinda good but they aren't that same team they were in the bowl game if their OL stays healthy.

Well gang, I have zero faith in Gus and it has sucked out a lot of the excitement BUT I have decided to get on board and pull for victories (because it doesn't matter what I pull for anyway). There was a time last year when I pulled for L's because I thought it could put us out of our misery. Some of my best memories are watching football games with my dad and he is getting up there in age and I want to enjoy this time regardless of who the coach is.

I like the boogs in this one because I think we will control the line of scrimmage. If Gus can run the ball up the middle for lots of yards he is likely to come away with a victory. If we have injuries on the OL or if their DL is better than I realize then Gus can find a way to lose even with this defense.

I’m slowly starting to get excited about the Nix era. It worked well for bama, clemmy and uga. I think Nix is close to being “in that group” of QB’s based on his talent. If he can just avoid being dumbed down by Gusbot he might have a legit shot at being an All-SEC caliber player one day.

Nix could easily have that talent. But he doesn’t have the talent around him those guys did. And he’s not going to be coached up like those three guys are/were unless Dilly is a QB whisperer. He should be an all SEC “type” in three or four years, even if Gus stays.

It’s “only” 26 and change this year. And the money will be there if he doesn’t win 9 I think. Of course that’s assuming he loses to our three biggest rivals in typical shitty fashion. If he wins 8 and beats one of them, they’ll play the new QB card and let him stay.
