All I can think is Kirby was ours for the taking. ZFG in terms of what he inherited when he got to GA correlating with his success thus far. He's recruiting lights out and seems to have the respect of his players. He interviews a hell of a lot better than Derp, too.

I did say I wouldn't have fired Richt for Kirby, as it was too much of a gamble to fire a coach who won as a much as Richt for a DC. So far, I was wrong on that and the gamble has paid off.
I never said he wasn't a great recruiter. He always has been. I said in August that I want to see how he closes in the class (prior to fields committing) before saying he was recruiting better than Richt. He closed like a monster.
