I’m still a little bit in shock. Obviously it helps when you come out on the winning side, but that was a damn entertaining game!

Welp, Gus brought out *mostly* good Gus. I simply don't understand why this version of him doesn't exist more often.
I don't like giving him a ton of credit but I can't deny that his players just keep fighting for him over and over and never roll over when it looks bad. There were probably 7/8 key moments in the game where we HAD to make a play, whether it means getting points or a stop or just getting out of trouble...and the kids just stepped up every single time that I felt like w were on the edge. Obviously Beep Boop and his staff have some kind of connection with these kids that we don't really get to see. They simply play hard for the guy.
I just wish he'd stop with some of the very predictable stuff. Feels like if he'd just hire or listen to someone who told him "yeah bro, this one is obvious lets do something else" a few times a game he'd be so much better off. A good example was the Boobie pass out of the wildcat on 3rd down that never materialized. I don't hate the play idea, I've felt we were going to give that a go sometime in a big spot for awhile now and some teams were selling out to levels where it would work with ease. But we had just run Wildcat on 2nd and then Saban took a TO...you know he's got time to remind his defense to respect the possible pass and to remind them to look for all the cute stuff. Just too obvious. Almost wish we had called that play on 2nd down.

Boog U is just charmed in these epic Arn Bow battles. I give credit to the players, the lord (Bruce), the crowd and thank Gus for managing not to fug it all up.
Boobie gaining 3 yards there ended up being huge because otherwise the penalty doesn’t give us a first down.
IMO, the two best things to fix Gus would be having a domme and hot yoga, and I’m dead serious about both.

He wasn't that far from getting the cutback either. Needed his blocker to see the pass wasn't gonna happen and lay a hat on someone but that's a tough decision to make. We probably had a better look on that weird 3rd down call than on any regular run play or some screen action that absolutely would have been blown up.
There were a lot of calls I hated, but that actually wasn't one of them.
The crowd was so awesome! When our crowd is like that we have the best game day atmosphere in the country. The surf swag gets me every time.

Beating them is always great. It's made better when their HC whines about a call that he's wrong about and when their fans get all wrapped up lecturing us about "class" and other BS. Just makes it amazingly sweet.
Didn’t notice the first time how fast Noah Iggy must be on this play. Flat footed on the opposite side of the field and still catches up to everyone at around the 50
played a pickup soccer game that Noah was in while he was in HS at Trussville. He was a pretty damn good player and stupid fast. Bossed a few current college players around and ran past everyone.

I lost my mind on this play. First time I’ve been truly fired up about Boog Hut Hut since the Kick Six.

Heard today we got fined 250,000 for storming the field. Apparently they keep a running tally and we just won’t stop. Surely this will wind it up on the football side for about 25 years.
