Official SEC Tournament Thread

Don't worry gang, gonna make official game threads for however many the HYGs play. But we'll just make this bad boy to discuss the tourney in general and discuss potential matchups and what have you. No official bracket yet, but there will be one tonight. The Boogs and Bruce earned a two seed. That much we know. Kentucky and UF earnedthe 1 and 4 respectively and LSU with the 3. I kind of like that but the league is so up in the air, that whoever the boogs play in round 1 is definitely no guaranteed dub. But I like our path none the less.

Looks like depending on the outcome of tonights games that Boogs could face anyone of Arkansas, Miss St, A&M, or Missouri in round 1. Not sure I know who I'd prefer. Probably Missou but I'm open to debate. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the official bracket tonight and laughing at how far bama fell in the standings. Legggggggggggggggggggooooooooooooooo and gonna be a long wait till the next Boog game.

Not sure UF has the 4 seed locked up. they are now 11-7 with the loss today. Miss St is at 10-7 and up 14 on Ole Miss at the half.

Miss State beat UF earlier in the year and would get the tie breaker.

Nah it’s about as good as the draw could get IMO. There are no cakewalk games but IMO out of 5 teams I wanted to avoid only one is in our side of the draw and I’m not really that scared of A&M a second time around...I just hate that their defense is built to make us do the one thing I’m not sure we can feel great about doing.

I feel like they're on the downswing a bit despite today's booty blasting so I'm kind of preferring them over UF and Miss st. But it's all subjective.

LSU has been pretty bad since we beat them, but I certainly wouldn't mind them get upset by South Carolina. A&M is going to be tough. That Nemo oaf dominated Arky today. I'd love to see Mizzou upset them.

I never feel real good about a game against Sakerlina as long as Frank’s there but the draw is about as good as we could’ve hoped for. I’d much rather be on our side than UK’s side if I’m being honest

Stats confirm we have the most favorable draw

Gotta feel pretty great about this as the two conference Blue Bloods have combined for five straight tournament championships. I’d put the top two there at about 42 & 39% just cause of history & dominance.
And just further proof, they have also combined for four straight regular season titles.

I honestly feel like the first game might be more difficult for us than the semi. Always hate the first tourney game, feels like our guys need a night in the gym firing in game action before they feel comfy. Also hate the way A&M defends and I don’t love us vs quick cats like Pinson.

couldn't agree more, this batch of HYGs have been notoriously slow starters at times so that first game is everything.

I realize this is has the potential to be much worse than the flu, but I wonder how many players in the NCAA tourney normally have the flu or some other infectious disease?
