OT: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Chuma has been guaranteed by one team they'll take him in the 2nd but pay him the end of first round money.
That'd be hard to pass up. I think Chuma has lotto pick potential, but taking the sure thing now, and maybe getting to that second contract faster could be his best move. God speed, young man. #doitforchuma

I think I've finally decided I want Chuma to go to the NBA to increase our brand more than I'd miss is handsomeness on the court. We need to start the BRUCE puts players in the NBA train to keep a steady stock of HYG coming our direction.

One factor about Chuma that people may not know is the Father not being around. His mother works all the time to take care of the 3 sons. One of the factors that will lean him to staying in the draft.

@wcw3au1 I think it's possible if you read the article that @Denim Vest posted towards the end of the first page.

I read that and I’m still not certain how it works compared to the first round scale but I’m not arguing for sure!! Last year Brunson got almost 4.6 guaranteed money in his 4/6.11 deal. That is basically what the bottom end has available to the 30th pick this year if I’m reading things correctly. So it’s possible apparently.

I will be happy for him either way, but I would rather see him come back, dominate, and get picked next year in the top 10 and make 5+ times the money that he would get for an end of 1st round pick.

NBA teams can negotiate whatever kind of deal they want with 2nd round picks. I assume there are some limits, but if you look at last year its a crap shoot of some deals guaranteed fully with others not guaranteed at all for varying amounts of money that did not correspond to draft position.

Not saying this isn’t true, but obviously take what you hear with a grain of salt. I promise I don’t mean this to be an ass, but your boys info isn’t that solid. I like your post and this has nothing to do with you, but Rodney has been wrong a lot when it comes to Auburn basketball.

Possible, but unlikely, especially someone coming off an ACL injury. Maybe teams have changed though.

@Gran_Polla that wasn’t from Rodney on Chuma. Rodney did tell me we weren’t getting Tucker but I thought he was trolling me until...

Cool! Again, nothing against you, but you have to admit he doesn’t have a good batting average. Hell, he said he was going with the team to Hawaii. You posted what day Rodney was leaving and I informed you that the team wasn’t leaving on that day. Yeah, I had a feeling a week ago we wouldn’t be getting Tucker. Sucks, but I still think the team has a lot of potential. If Wiley can be what we all think he can.......mother of god!
