OT: Any business owners on this board?

Retired military. I own a Lawn care and landscaping company. I was done with travel and an office. I needed sunlight.

What line of work are you in? Show me those ideas and I'll open a company and hire you as well. Win-win for both of us.

Low voltage building management. What I'd like to get into is subcontracting. I work for a large company and we basically sub out all of our work. We hire the biggest buffoons to do work and they screw it up all the time but make huge bucks on the jobs because we take all the heat.

I think I could lead teams to do better work.

I would love to open a kick azz bar for about 6 months just to show these other fvck sticks how to do it. If I did it i would just do Thursday, Fri, Saturday and do it right.

Guestimating, what would be a fair price/sqft for a 30x11 addition that would create a new dining room, extend the kitchen (to include a new walk-in pantry) and renovate a kitchen that's currently approximately 10x12? The addition would run 30 feet down the side of the house and extend the 11 feet from the current south facing wall. I understand if that's not nearly enough information to go by. I'm just hoping that $150/ft will get me there.

I would plan on more than $50,000.... but I don’t know how big of an update you want to do to the kitchen.

I don’t know what kind of exterior you have, don’t known your roof situation. Don’t know your foundation situation etc.

It's a large flat wall with no roof on that side of the house with Hardey Board siding. The addition would be a lean-to style addition. Raised slab foundation.

Free standing addition with raised slab ( tied onto 2 story wall), roof, all new cabinets, countertops, and appliances?

Speaking of sunshine, @ricedp105 hasn't posted on tbb since Thursday. I guess he either is on a long weekend or is dead. I guess with today being a holiday the vacation is feasible, but one more day without posting and I have to assume he died.

He dead. Has to be, hasn't posted since Thursday.
