Jesus! People over think this shit. 6 days off didn't hurt us either. We played well in the first half. It's simple for Auburn. If we do not go comepletely cold in a half like we did today, then we have a high % chance to win. This was one of those days that everyone was off at once.

Exactly. We were effective and fairly efficient in the first half, so we came ready to play. The second half was some ugly fuggin' shit and everyone including BRUCE should be emberassed by it. So be it. Were 25-7, 13-5 in conference and probably looking at a 4 seed, mostly earned with 9 players. This season has been incredible.

More LBS from me. I hate to be that guy but damn, those announcers were just ridiculous at times today. One foul, early second half, where the color guy thought Staph should’ve been called for a push off was ridiculous. Then later in the second half some hairball went flailing and falling out of control and they called a bailout against Staph. Not a single peep.

Well said. Second highest seed Auburn has ever had. In a year when the SEC got the most teams in it ever has. Hell of a year any way you slice it. Now let’s take care of a couple scrub teams from South Carolina and make it to a regional final with Kansas, Michigan State and Duke. Here we are in March and this has the potential to be a truly magical season. Not bad considering the circumstances at the beginning of the year.

Cause if you are just putting his stats in and don't understand the complexity of missing a starter and one of only 3 natural bigs on the roster and what its required everyone else to do that's some bush league analysis.

Missing shots and playing bad isn't choking. Sometimes you just play bad. Again, losing once in a decade or more chances at titles because you can't beat bad teams....that's a choke. Having a 85% FT shooter miss FT's at the end of a game to lose a conference title game or get booted out of the NCAA tourney...that would be a choke. 10 point leads in basketball disappear all the time. Literally every Saturday you can find dozens of those that lose the game. It's pretty normal.

We sucked and it sucked losing to them. The only opportunity we lost was to play a very hot UK in the next round in a tournament we didn't put much emphasis on even as a fanbase. Be honest....we melted down about 400% more over that loss because it was against Avery and not A&M. If we lose the exact same way to A&M the response by our fans is not the same.

And @demeat dragging the entire end of the season into the discussion just exemplifies how idiotic our fanbase is in terms of hoops and our history. That damn banner means A LOT. We only have 3 in our entire history. We haven't even played in a NCAA tourney in 15 years. In a 14 team league our hoops tradition likely rates somewhere between 11-14. It's bad. Don't tell me we choked when we got a title and a 4 seed...one of the highest seeds ever achieved by an AU hoops squad. I'm not having it.

agree, this teams is gonna have to shoot well and stay hot to progress. During the season they had guys step up and carry the load when needed, there hasn't been as much of that the last few weeks. Most of that can probably filed under bryce being injured and several guys playing out of their normal position due to Mac's injury. Would really like to see these guys come out strong and look more relaxed on the court with some of the new groupings.

Outside of a couple home wins this team has severely underperformed as of late.

None of that matters now. We can catch lightning in a bottle and win some games.

So we won the SEC title, only the 3rd one in our history and you still think we choked away the season? Because we lost a tourney game to bama...man that's some LBS stuff right there. Get out of grade school bruh. Their season is trash and a complete waste of a generational talent for any team in this state to land. He's gonna be a lottery pick and probably a multi-year NBA All Star and if they go out in the first weekend like they likely will, they have a 9th place finish in the conference and nothing else to show for it. I'd trade 2 losses to them for a SEC title every single year if you gave me that option. And the SECT is meaningless unless you win it. Nobody cares if you made the freaking conference semifinals or lost in the quarters. I literally don't remember 99% of the years semifinal games and I follow this sport closely. The SECT matters when you are a program that knows it cannot make the NCAA tourney or you need wins to help you get there. That was not us this year.

It's amazing you can see in a crystal ball what would happen if we still had Mac. Really, can you pass that thing over here so I can find the winning lottery numbers? Cause if you are just putting his stats in and don't understand the complexity of missing a starter and one of only 3 natural bigs on the roster and what its required everyone else to do that's some bush league analysis.

Missing shots and playing bad isn't choking. Sometimes you just play bad. Again, losing once in a decade or more chances at titles because you can't beat bad teams....that's a choke. Having a 85% FT shooter miss FT's at the end of a game to lose a conference title game or get booted out of the NCAA tourney...that would be a choke. Just having a bad game and looking like we didn't really care about the SECT is not choking. It's a lot of things...but it's not choking.
