And these are the only 2 options at most sandwich shops these days. I gotta stand around like an idiot deciding which option I hate the least.Right up there with baked chips as being a horrible idea for chips.

Would crush some pringles, Fritos, or just some nice regular chips. Oh no though gotta choose between mesquite blue cheese kettle chips or baked lays. Fuggin hell.
LAYS kettle cooked BBQ are the GOAT chip now. Could easily eat a whole bag in a sitting. What's the big deal here? I find them to be a significant downgrade from regular chips.
Good call. I go soup a lot more often these days take another buck off me. It's all starting to make sense.Get the cookie instead
Bruh you get kicked out of the kettle chip club for mentioning a non boutique brand like Lays. They're too crunchy iyam. I feel ripped off just looking at the packaging anyway.LAYS kettle cooked BBQ are the GOAT chip now. Could easily eat a whole bag in a sitting.

Now the ones popping up at restaurants hot out the fryer with a nice light crunch and some aioli I can dig here and there. Still don't come anywhere close to some TOTS.
Hey man I respect you as a kettle chip enthusiast. All I ask is these sandwich shops don't completely shut us chip traditionalists out of options. And those pop chips gatalmighty don't get me started. So much wrong in this thread.
lack of chip choices at shops = communismHey man I respect you as a kettle chip enthusiast. All I ask is these sandwich shops don't completely shut us chip traditionalists out of options. And those pop chips gatalmighty don't get me started.

Whole lotta Chip baiting going on here
UTZ Original is probably my favorite chip. It's light, not oily, just the right amount of salt. Like to mix in some Fritos. Cool Ranch Doritos if I really want to zaz it up.So what's your goto chip then? golden flake?
Did they change the recipe on the Sweet Heat? I had some the other day for the first time in years and they weren't as good as I remembered.I love these:
I don't know. Haven't had them in a long time.Did they change the recipe on the Sweet Heat? I had some the other day for the first time in years and they weren't as good as I remembered.
ahh, Mr. Redenbacher knows me too wellStill not as good as
They definitely changed the sweet heat flavor... used to be the go to with Tuesday special from Byron's (now that they only give you chips as a side choice when doing their lunch special). Not anymore though... no heat at all. Just fork out the extra buck for some brunswick stew nowadays.Did they change the recipe on the Sweet Heat? Spicy Creole Tomato also is le teets. I think Zapps makes my favorite Sour Cream and Onion chip as well. Maybe it was because I was raised on Zapp's that I like kettle chips so much.I like these, but I agree with yore general premise.
The jalapeño kettle chips you can get at like firehouse and subway are pretty good. Agree that regular chips are by and large better though.
OP is a do do do do doer of many things.Just bought some non kettle chips in OP's honor.
You made a difference

Excellent. What you go with? I'm a little more adventurous when I'm snacking as opposed to pairing with a sandwich.Just bought some non kettle chips in OP's honor.

All the Zapps are great. I have been infatuated with them long before having any idea there was any difference with a "kettle chip" or even realized that was a thing at all.I like these, but I agree with yore general premise.
